Strung up, link upon link
Cold and meaningless
Full of hope and symbolism
Enclosed around cylindricals
To fall and rest at attention

I'm thinking some kind of necklace maybe with a photo in? The last lines have lost me though.

building; no one can hold it

exploding; tears all inside us

growling; we know its presence

escaping; to make everyone scatter

ensuring; the airs hard to breathe

spreading; all around quick and freely

controlling; the life of all who let it

OMG
I wish I could say you were right because that answer is so much funnier than what it is. SOOOOO fitting...too funny!

Actually Faceless (wanderer) is the one who got it right. Good job!

"quatrain display"

Is it a certain poet that you read daily...someone who no longer writes?

poet Anonymous

Nope. Nothing to do with writing.

ThorneTheRed said:A man stands before two identical speaking statues
One always lies, one always speaks the truth
In this room are two doorways, one leads to heaven, one leads to hell
He can only ask one statue one question
What question could he ask to insure that the door he chooses shall lead to heaven?

Well, this is probably silly, buuuut, he could ask one, "are you a speaking statue?"

If he asked:
The one why always lies, he will say, "no"
The one who always tells the truth, he will say, "yes"

So, since he knows that they ARE indeed speaking statues, this one question will reveal the truth. Then he will know whom to go with.

Prologue.

From nothing, born
into everything void.
Into nothing it returns,
metaphorical wings ignite.
Tranquil calm, tumultuous noise
deafening silence a part of the whole.
Rising from oblivion, emotionless, expressionless,
eating its heart, scorching its thoughts.
It is naught, defining much more than lot,
it is all and one.
A Beast of knowledge, God of impiety,
within divinity and demoniac.
To tame its nerve, for avarice
ensue unrelenting misery.
Amidst patterns and flow, insanity
dwarfed by mere moments, is.
It speaks of instinct, intellect
shatters before its grandeur.
Elucidating nothing, catechizing everything,
a single truth dwells.

Epilogue.

They come and go as they please
turn dark and grim from bright and serene
and the nights burn while mornings grieve

Stain the world in a placid hue
nefariously calm and indifferent to opinion
drawing shades of sky on earth

Melancholy seeps from the gaps
upon pigeons perched on juvenile roots
beneath this gloom, trapped forever

Perpetually, I suppose.

Sweet translucent savior, rest in your coffin. Wait for them to gather and heave in your sorrow. A gift from high - Angelic oracle. The source of enlightenment and moderation. Your succulent mouth, narrow and wide, like hellfire you burn, reveal all to my eyes.
It rests in your belly, the mist of death. Warm and coarse, it sinks into my chest. Raging nymphet, juvenile and diabolical, possessed by your mystique I humbly beseech you. Let your madness illuminate my darkest inner sanctum. So delicate, so pure, gleaming in the sunlight of monsoon's gloom, your holy grail thaws from its throne.
Lay your treasures in her bosom, and she will be in your debt. To be used again, abused again, another day... some other time... a different place... in the same way.
