Yoho! NaPoets! Webmistress has sent me this signed ( yes, signed ) certificate of completion for each NaPo entrant who finishes this year! I'll be signing it and distributing it to each of you NaPoets before the site closes down.
I have had three offers from sites and suggestions from entrants to transfer DU's NaPo somewhere so we can continue. I need to consult with my team to ensure they're onboard, but we will keep you informed!

Look forward to the update, thank you Ahavati and it will be nice to have a certificate too. I know I've not been about much but it is a special place and will be missed.

Tam can I use my real name instead of the one I use here?

How lovely!
Like many of us, I don't take part for any kind of trophy or reward, but that is a really nice way of marking the end of an era.
Great news about potentially carrying on, too! I have a friend who has started responding to my daily poems with his own daily limerick. Hey, maybe I can persuade him to stretch to 50 unique words by next April!

It's very nice that so many NaPoets want to stay together.

Yoho, NaPoets! Nothing can distract us from completing the final DU NaPo, the most successful, annual event in the history of the Deep Underground Poetry! All who have participated can take that title to the bank ( in addition to a certificate ) for braving this challenge! Especially the 24 headstrong poets left on the board who have opted to go down with the ship in memory of Eerie and in honor of poetry!
We are headed into deep space now, toward the cosmic jewels of Sextans A Galaxy! Sextans A (also known as UGCA 205) is a small dwarf irregular galaxy. It spans about 5000 light-years across, and is located at 4.3 million light-years away, in the outskirts of the Local Group of galaxies.
Sextans A has a peculiar square shape. Massive short-lived stars exploded in supernovae that caused more star formation, triggering yet more supernovae, ultimately resulting in an expanding shell. Young blue stars now highlight areas and shell edges high in current star formation, which from the perspective of observers on Earth appears roughly square. The 10.4 m telescope Gran Telescopio Canarias recently observed the OB-type stars that power the giant HII regions.

This glittering image captured by the Nicholas U. Mayall 4-meter Telescope at Kitt Peak National Observatory, a Program of NSF’s NOIR Lab, shows the irregular dwarf galaxy Sextans A, which lies around 4.4 million light-years from Earth. This galaxy, which is only a fraction of the size of the Milky Way, has been contorted by successive waves of supernova explosions into the roughly square shape we see from Earth — a cosmic jewelry box filled with bright young stars.
Sextans A is displayed in style in this gorgeous image, which showcases the irregular shape of this dwarf galaxy. Irregular galaxies such as Sextans A don’t have the regular appearance of spiral or elliptical galaxies but instead display a range of weird and wonderful shapes. These galaxies are relatively small, and they are often susceptible to distortions resulting from close encounters or collisions with larger galaxies — sometimes leading to their irregular shapes. Sextans A is particularly small, measuring only about 5000 light-years across.

No, you're fine. Anyone with a poem marked 19/20 has a typo. I haven't actually got to checking for Day 19 yet, as many people won't have posted. But I'll look, and message anyone who's made a mistake.

The second number is inconsequential because it's not required. As long as the first number is correct they're good. And, no, the challenge has not been shortened, though I can understand why you would think so with three team members typing 20 vs 30.
Can you tell how tired we all are?

From a question: Yes, if you have ever participated in and completed one DU NaPo, you can have a certificate too.
