This will probably come as common knowledge to those who have self published on amazon before. But you can publish a 6x9 inch book with white paper with a maxium of 828 pages for free, that can be made available for all to buy. If done correctly you will be able to get a lot of peoms and other bits in. If the font is small and the trim is lean.
You would be able to give people a page each and still have room for the other things listed at the start of the thread

I just had a message from someone regarding the Classic Corner Comps. I had forgotten all about them. Here are a few links for you to review.
These were very high-quality entries and we offered constructive critique. These entries are some of the best DU has to offer because these poets truly strived toward a proper tribute. This was ongoing series introducing serious writers of DUP to the most well-known poets, both classical and modern.
Mary Oliver ( ironically, she passed away during this competition, which took it to an entirely different level ):
https://deepundergroundpoetry.com/forum/competitions/read/10548/
Rilke: https://deepundergroundpoetry.com/forum/competitions/read/10367/
Rimbaud: https://deepundergroundpoetry.com/forum/competitions/read/10368/
Rumi: https://deepundergroundpoetry.com/forum/competitions/read/10417/
Elizabeth Bishop ( I actually won a cash prize for one of my Bishop tributes in an offsite competition): https://deepundergroundpoetry.com/forum/competitions/read/10456/
Emily Dikinson: https://deepundergroundpoetry.com/forum/competitions/read/10494/
^ Those aren't even half.
We even had a championship for all participants at the end of the year. Webmiss created a special trophy for the male and female divisional winners.

Possible to add a "Classic Corner" to the anthology?
Jesus. I forget how many brilliant writers have left their skin and souls on this site. I still buy contemporary poetry and so many of them would not be out of place on bookshelves.I salute them all.

Right? I cannot BELIEVE I forgot about this project! It lasted well over a year and contains some of the best poetry here. I am a bit sad to see how many have left. Some withdrew for publication purposes and others have just left the site.
These are all the Classic Corner Comps we held:
Elizabeth Bishop
Emily Dickinson
Mary Oliver
Denise Levertov
Sharon Olds
Kim Addonizio
Agnes Torok
Anne Sexton
Maya Angelou
Rupi Kaur
Arthur Rimbaud
Rainer Maria Rilke
Jellaludin Rumi
Robert Frost
Dr. Seuss
Pablo Neruda
Federico Garcia Lorca
Ralph Waldo Emerson
Kahlil Gibran
Wendell Berry
E.E. Cummings
T.S. Eliot
I know these were "competitions" but they stand out from regular run by DU members.

@ Case - in addition to the above Classic Comp suggestion - did anyone mention Poem of the Month winners? Again, I know they're competitions; however, it's the site as a whole that votes for those, which differentiates them as well.
Or, you could have sub-sections under competitions?
I may have a couple of people to help if you give the greenlight.

Thanks for the suggestion. There’s no doubt the Classic Corner produced high standard of poetic tributes and was meaningful to those who participated. I really appreciate the effort behind it and the learning opportunities it provided the community.
At the same time, I’m not sure the Classic Corner fully represents what made DU unique. There are a plethora poetry forums and FB groups that pay tribute to the classics. If we’re talking about what gave DUP its unique vibe and mojo, I’d shine the spotlight on the 10W and 20W poetry challenges. Those threads had wide participation, encouraged creativity and collaboration, and really captured the unique spirit of the site.
We can’t preserve everything… I'm also mindful of the anthology's page count… we don't want the white pages anthology.
However... this project is all about preservation, so I suggest that you [Ahavati] coordinate the selection of a handful of Classic Corner comp entries, I’m open to revisiting the idea further down the track. Just be mindful of potential copyright risks, especially if any entries include direct quotes or translated material from protected works.
For now, I think our main challenge is preserving the heart of DU by focusing our efforts on the tasks we’ve already set ourselves.

Good suggestion. Poem of the Month wasn’t a challenge-based comp, but it’s a strong reflection of community support and recognition. I do see the potential for overlap with other anthology selections. It’s definitely a useful tool to help curate standout poems. Let me have a think and I’ll take a closer look at the DUP comps section.

@ Case - I and a few others need some clarification on collection: When someone contacts us about a poem from a specific category, and another curator has already submitted a poem of ours in a different category, do we turn them down and mention we've already been nominated? I know you said that each poet can only appear 1-2 times in the anthology ( which I agree with ), but I've noticed that some of the member nominations I've got in the spiritual section have also been nominated in alternate sections.
Should we check the spreadsheet first and not nominate those who have already been nominated? Or do we nominate what we consider the cream of the crop and you ( or a committee ) make the final selections as to which poem would be best representing a specific category?

I suggest we resolve any poem duplication now while we're curating and DUP is still up and running.
If you come across a poem that's already been selected in another section, please do the following:
1. Nominate the poem - add the poem to your section in the spreadsheet as usual.
2. Flag the duplication - right click on the duplicate poem title in the main spreadsheet and add a comment noting the duplication. I'll review the poems and work with the curators to determine where the poem best fits.
3. Email alternative - email me the details and I'll sort it out.
There are plenty of poems to choose from, so we're not going to have any trouble finding strong alternatives.
We'll aim to limit poets to 1-2 poems in the final anthology, but I don't want to hold back on nominations at this stage. Keep updating the spreadsheet with what you feel is the best of DU poetry in each section. We'll refine and finalise selections once curation is complete.
Thanks for raising this issue now.

Okay great. Thanks for the clarification. I've declined some requests, and had requests declined because another curator had already nominated the poet, not the poem. I'll go ahead and nominate poets whose poems I feel stand out then, and we can decide at a later date which would be best in which category.
I thought it best to garner guidance in this infancy stage of development.
Thanks again.
P.S. - I understand about the Classics - it's just some of the best poetry on DU. Poets are what makes a site unique, imho.

Just as a reminder, I still can’t access the Google drive document. So can’t see what’s being nominated. Obviously I can only choose from what was used on the podcast.

Snugglebuck died? Wouldn't have expected as he seemed younger than me. I have shared a few comments with him.
