Prisoner
House of Fury
She is a house of rage
Four walls forged of unforgiving wood
Their tears soak cedar logs
Leaving drops of blood on iron nails
That hold the weight of her inside
She is a house of fury
Keeps the windows shut, when a midnight gust tangles the curtains
Banging are the hands of many
Begging for her grace and pity
She will keep the doors locked
As she rots with all her junk
Every muffled doorstep plea
Is a missed opportunity
To take this house of envy
And build it to a house of mercy

If I
Plead innocent
“Let them go!”
All the words stuck behind
Lipstick walls
And memories jailed inside
Eyelid bars
Would you unlock the chains
That bind abuse
In metallic link?
Would you guard the cell, with your life?
Or would you be the judge that sentences the death penalty?
For who’s the prisoner, and who’s imprisoning?

Hell
Is this what hell is all about?
Darkness flashing all around.
Lost in a world of my own.
Walking in a crowd all alone.
Why did they all have to leave?
What have I done? tell me please.
I must have deserved this strife.
For all the sins of my life.
Is this all the love I'll ever get?
Everyone gone, all I've ever met.
Hell is but a stroll in the park,
compared to this life in the dark.
Is this what hell is all about?
This must be my fault, no doubt.
Cursed to stay in this land,
with no one to hold my hand.
Now I know what hell is all about.

to live
and wait
for a word
that never came.
Better
to stay this way.
My day
to waste
and play
with words
that sound the same.
Illusions
I came to believe.
My time
would come
to relief
my world
of silent shame.
Never
will I speak again,
of pain
I felt
so plain
or a word

Farewell
to all who claim,
