Viddax said:Strange question for the NaPoWriMo Team (of course I have to be the one to ask it); what is the process if I am travelling on a long flight and unlikely to be able to post? Is this a situation of notifying the Team, posting 1 extra before/after, and then continuing on with the competition?

My poetry has been rather neglected lately, and the NaPoWriMo is a trial by fire to rekindle the flames of inspiration.

As after all, The Words Must Flow.

Hi, Viddax! Been wondering where you were! Per the rules:

Double Posting When Late We encourage you to complete poems ahead of schedule in the event you are prevented from writing and posting by an unexpected event such as a personal crisis, power or Internet failure, etc.

Follow this protocol upon your return: post a maximum of 2 poems per date until you are caught up. At the very top of each late post, attach a brief explanation stating why you are posting late whatever reason it may be. Example:

https://deepundergroundpoetry.com/forum/competitions/read/9560/840/#392950

• Strike if your late post(s) do not include an excuse.

So, here's a scenario that might be applicable to your query. You can miss two consecutive days without posting; however, you must post at least ONE poem on the third to remain in the competition. After that you can double post per the above guidelines until you're caught up.

We had an entrant one year whose internet was sketchy, so we walked her through the process all month until she crossed the finish line.

Life happens and we understand that. Team NaPo isn't here to strike your hand with a ruler; we're here to help you across the finish line of your 8th NaPo!

Good morning, NaPoets! Our next featured TeamNaPo'24 member is Daisy Grace! Daisy, in her own words, is a human poet who drinks more Earl Grey tea and iced coffee than should be legal. [ I dunno, Daisy! We might have to compare liters on the Earl Grey! ]

Daisy enjoys reading, writing,  making music, and baking ridiculous amounts of cake. [ which will be featured as a sugar high rush throughout NaPo. ]

She just published her first book of poetry, has been a member of DU for a decade, TeamNaPo for four years, and this will be her 7th NaPo!

Thank you, Daisy, for your service to DU! You are admired and appreciated! xo

Earl Grey and I are best friends. He gets me through the day.

So does cake.

I can't believe this will be my 7th year. Craziness!

Right! I can't believe this is the 8th year of NaPo! What a consistent success and inspiration it's been too!

Hmmm, reminds me why I came to Portugal ... but there's nothing more beautiful than England & Wales when the sun is out ...

Yay Razza!

Equally wet in the South West. I cycled to work this morning, and got soaked.
