I don't suppose it matters. It just won't score high.

Modern Day Caligula

(a sonnet)

He is a modern day Caligula
Ranting how he should be back on the throne
Screaming loud you can see his uvula
As the orange paint doesn’t match the tone

His deception game has quite the brilliance
Something's wrong, one can see it in his eyes
He’s been able to hypnotize millions
Followers swallow bukkakes of lies

It’s sad when masses heed to a mad man
It passes for normal without disdain
It’s a plain train wreck waiting to happen
But the senseless idiot has gone insane

It’s a risky political twister
When people try to elect a grifter

Perhaps PAR would like to shave this down to the sonnet the competition asked for?
It will make a good one, I'm sure.

The Man Who Murdered Milosevic

I thought about the man who had to look
after Milosevic.  How hard
to care, while thinking of the lives he took.
Keeping him healthy just to disregard
the court. Watching the trial seem to slip
out of the hands of the prosecutor.
Prescribing drugs for him to have the zip
to change from the accused to tormentor.
Another drug to contraindicate,
to stop his heart, stop the trial, the lies
and pain.  The justice of it would placate
his mind.  -- Another butcher to despise,
a trial which found the guilt of Karadzic
but, the innocence of Milosevic.

I shall have to look up Karadzic
to see the relationship to Milosevic.
The latter I've heard of. Thanks for
the entry AnonymousBystander.
