My Sleeky Black Sun.

I've never had problems with my ego
id or superego and stuff like that,
mainly coz I'd not heard of 'em, ergo
no probs but, I have had trouble with cats.

To wit my black cat, a scamp, Morpheus
who ran up a tree and from tree jumped, to roof,
and sat there grinning faintly like Cepheus
that high and mighty cat then, so aloof...

That's my entry, " Pick n' Mix poetry "
a competition pitched by Northern_Soul,
but something else I'd not heard of, gets me
that's their " abstract nouns " what the...is their role?

Well, Morph took a longer leap, heaven bound,
But I still hear him, in that tree, rustling round.

The three words, ego, black, cat.

Black Cat's Determination

gold paper
involving
the bonbons...

people
do not Cry
for being
weak
but for mercy
for having been
in childhood
for too long
...

(such a green peculiarity)

the panther devours
its prey with luxury
in her turquoise eyes
the hyenas await
the vultures await
the flies await
Viruses await...

(the spiders await)

too much time has passed
the golden paper
is slowly losing
its golden hue.

Green greed

She had the swiftness of a cat
And the claws to go with

She had an eye for exquisite jewelry
Luxury was her middle name

As she entered the high-end store
She glanced at the emerald-green necklace
On display.....
And knew that one day it would be hers
One way or another.

HOPE

the good soul
dreams
a bright blue
heaven
locked behind
glistening gates,
the faces
of those it
loved
transformed,
glorious,
holy,
yet just as it
remembers

trapped in
mongrel's flesh --
a random
coincidence
of genes --
it does its penance
and pleads the gods
for mercy,
but seldom
sees it

still,
it carries on,
keeps
the faith,
and hopes

what else
can it do?

Baby, we are panthers

to fill the
burning
eyes with
a turquoise
breeze

and wake up
to the smell of
the warmth
of your neck

is a luxury
I want to
indulge

let's lay like this
till the dusk

let's prey
on our
lusts

like two
starving
panthers

Javalini and Dejure - wonderful entries. Thank you.

Ald - doing your usual spamming of threads, I see. Not an entry.

The Pall on Lifting

*

The blinds drawn rise
windows ope
in let light
lost the childhood memory descry
across the sill a distance past the screened-in porch
the ceremony of the cat upon the green
my diaper with the beetle and the housefly
in attendance with the kitten and the gathering of families and friends
yet at the after-funeral reception and repast
the intimacy of the meal
the order of the day.

Gold Ego Snake

Gold ego snake ahead.
Roads, steeples, makeshift sense.
Crows, reaper, graves, cement.
Only know Satan's ends.

Grown deeper, dazing dwells.
Poles weaken, laying bends.
Folds, feeble basis tells.
Whole heap to gaze at fell.

Sold prequel, bayonets.
Globe dealers, razor's edge.
Drones, weasels, chasing hell.
Cold, three-war craziness.

Role treason, tanks pretend.
No jeepers, trade compels.
Bold, evil claim attends.
Foes feature nations next.

Quo, quid pro, quakes for gems.
Honed peoples, places, bets.
Goals become ancient spell.
Those demons, hatred blend.

Soul seizure, fate of death.
Ode betroths basic bread.
Bone meal for jaded men.
Polio, major sell.

No need to name again.
Rome's legal lady, wretch.
Romeo, fading, rent.
Lowliness, shaking mends.

Lo, behold, faith has strength.
Holy hope, Savior sent.
Show me your graciousness.
Throne, bestowed, great, elect!

Tropical Island

I dream of lazy summer days
Three hundred and sixty degrees away
From anywhere beyond what's here,
Below the awning of a tree.
With it's canopies that give relief
And shade against the sun and heat.
A true luxury of nature,
As it's aspects coexist in some harmony and tandem.
All the branches are the perfect place for
Spiders, snakes and panthers.
Front center staring off into the vast and wild ocean,
On a small and tropic island.
Watching as the ocean turns
Into a sunset glowing amber.

If Black is not a Colour

If Black is not a Colour

If black is not a colour why (in the way you wear it)
Does it fill me with so much light that I feel compelled to share it
With dull undeserving strangers, now seeming so fascinating,
So angelic, these placid folks now, such colour they’re creating!

If black is not a colour, how then to explain
The sense of this garden blooming, becoming in my brain?
Bordered by the diamond terminus of your black silk-stockinged legs,
All the stunning fruits and flowers, warmed by your black-clad cunt for which I beg.

If black is not a colour, why so much mad colour I see
In the delicate unzipping of your dress, fingers like a spider over my knee.
Of and in itself, and with your whole self, and the entirety of life itself?
And your black-mascaraed lashes languidly blink twice, and you open yourself.

And colours course through our movement, our bodies electric,
And colours arc between my cock and your lips (which soon I will lick).
If black is not a colour, then you have pulled some wicked trick
To give black such power to give such power to our beautiful bodies electric.

Just once

Just once you might see
Though it is a rarity
You'll remember for infinity
Definitely I guarantee
With great intensity
Bigger than humanity
It'll drive you to insanity
Because the prosperity
Of this peculiarity
Makes you red
When you can't breath
Immensely, yet friendly
Like a panther riding a jetski
A plant singing a medley
A toddler driving a Bentley
The everlasting memory

Wait...
What was I talking about?

Blue Devil

in divine garden
exquisite prey wandering
unaware of risk

stalking observing
legless but ready to pounce
entwined in branches

accountable to no one
radical self reliance
perfect camouflage

charismatic charm
appealing to innocence
seemingly harmless

innocuously
pointing out the forbidden
sweet succulent fruit

like the snake that he is
his turquoise ego slithers
hissing temptation
