I found this in my archives as I was cleaning out this morning. Rather than pull a card today, I felt guided to share this. There's a victim mentality that likes to point fingers and blame another for their own misfortunes. This is not a healthy outlook on life. What challenges you is a gift which reveals just how strong you are, and how much you can rise above.

The promise of a medicine woman

If you come to me as a victim I will not support you.
But I will have the courage to walk with you through the pain that you are suffering.
I will put you in the fire, I will undress you, and I will sit you on the earth.
I will bathe you with herbs, I will purge you, and you will vomit the rage and the darkness inside you.
I'll bang your body with good herbs, and I'll put you to lay in the grass, face up to the sky.
Then I will blow your crown to clean the old memories that make you repeat the same behavior.
I will blow your forehead to scare away the thoughts that cloud your vision.
I will blow your throat to release the knot that won't let you talk.
I will blow your heart to scare fear, so that it goes far away where it cannot find you.
I will blow your solar plexus to extinguish the fire of the hell you carry inside, and you will know peace.
I will blow with fire your belly to burn the attachments, and the love that was not.
I will blow away the lovers that left you, the children that never came.
I will blow your heart to make you warm, to rekindle your desire to feel, create and start again.
I will blow with force your vagina or your penis, to clean the sexual door to your soul.
I will blow away the garbage that you collected trying to love what did not wanted to be loved.
I will use the broom, and the sponge, and the rag, and safely clean all the bitterness inside you.
I will blow your hands to destroy the ties that prevent you from creating.
I will blow your feet to dust and erase the footprints memories, so you can never return to that bad place.
I will turn your body, so your face will kiss the earth.
I'll blow your spine from the root to the neck to increase your strength and help you walk upright.
And I will let you rest.

After this you will cry, and after crying you will sleep,
And you will dream beautiful and meaningful dreams,
and when you wake up I'll be waiting for you.
I will smile at you, and you will smile back
I will offer you food that you will eat with pleasure, tasting life, and I will thank you.
Because what I’m offering today, was offered to me before when darkness lived within me.
And after I was healed, I felt the darkness leaving, and I cried.

Then we will walk together, and I will show you my garden, and my plants, and I will take you to the fire again.
And will talk together in a single voice with the blessing of the earth.
And we will shout to the forest the desires of your heart.

And the fire will listen and whisper the echo, and we will create hope together.
And the mountains will listen and whisper the echo, and we will create hope together.
And the rivers will listen and whisper the echo, and we will create hope together.
And the wind will listen and whisper the echo, and we will create hope together.
And then we will bow before the fire, and we will call upon all the visible and invisible guardians.

And you will say thank you to all of them.
And you will say thank you to yourself.
And you will say thank you to yourself.
And you will say thank you to yourself.

Let me translate for you: Basically, she's saying, "Get the hell over yourself; you're not a victim."

It wouldn't be that much to absorb if she wasn't repeating herself so many times. But repetition it is important in driving home the message to break the cycle of one constantly claiming victim status.

Repetition is important in mantras. It fortifies belief in the power of words when chanting.

I absolutely adored the mantra.  I copied it to my notes to re-read 💜

This is a very interesting pull, and a I feel a few here truly need the message:

This is pull is called 'The Crossing' and symbolizes what you are attempting to become, or your life as it is, while the second card is representative of what is crossing you.

If I am not mistaken, I have previously drawn and posted these cards in this thread; thus, you can scroll back and read the messages associated with them; however, I'm going to be channeling this message direct from Source because there's a special message for someone/s.

First is Elestial Quart: Become  Inimitable.

Each rock in the Universe is Inimitable, which means unique unto itself. Even if tumlbed, carved or thrown in a river for the natural process of evolution, no two would be identical. Becoming Inimitable means being your authentic self. There are quite a few here trying so hard to be themselves in the midst of a world attempting to conform them to certain standards.

Whether it's family judging your beliefs and you fear unconnected to their expectations; or, peers pressuring you to join in something you'd rather not, but perhaps are afraid to decline for fear of isolation; a mate who is controlling, yet you have nowhere else to go, or maybe you don't want to fail; maybe it's an employer who takes advantage of you, but you can't say no because you fear losing your job.

Regardless of obstacles you currently face, the Universe wants you to know it's got you. You may feel confused, doubtful, unsure which direction to go or the first step in being yourself. Enter The Crossing:

Blue Topaz: Be Soft and Listen.

What this is saying is that in order to become inimitable, your authentic self, you must first be still and listen. You chose to come here for an express purpose that no one else on this planet has charge of. you were placed in the lives of those you know, and those you will know, for a specific reason. Some are sacred contracts you developed before incarnating in this lifetime.

You will experience the contrast of what you want with many; this is to evict you from your complaceny because you true heart's desire is to become inimitable—to step into your destiny and be free to be wholly yourself.

The Universe wants you to know that this is possible, but first, you must learn to be soft and listen to your own intuition, which is a blueprint of your destiny. Your intuition is not only a compass that will point you in the right direction; it's also a homing beacon when you step sideways into the dark forest. Your intuition is both a guide and an alarm system that signals when something is not right for you, whether it's the food you eat to the color you paint your room!

Every answer you need is within you; every dream you truly desire is within you. Becoming Inimitable is possible if you're willing to

Be Soft and Listen—answers are waiting to be born.

I suggest journaling; The Artist's Way by Julia Cameron is an excellent resource to clear your mind. Meditation is another way to quieten your mind and spend time with yourself. Painting, writing, drawing, playing and instrument or just music that resonates with your spirit is a form of sound healing.

I believe in you because you will make it.

This also means being gentle with yourself. You're human; you'll make mistakes. Don't punish yourself with "What ifs!" Instead, be grateful for the lesson. Be soft and listen that you don't repeat it again.

It's kinda hard to listen, if you're being hard on yourself for something, don't cha think?

Yes thanks for this timely post. I will quote what I said in reply to Ahavati in my comments :

I had read your 'promise of a medicine woman' post in the meditation room as I was writing this. (my #NewYear poem)

I was using 'they' and 'them' originally, meaning I was giving all this blame to those in 'power', with that victim mentality that can be so easy to use and lay on some 'other'. Although there may be truth in laying that blame it does no good for ones own progression to heal and strips those from that attention.  It was timely to read that and am glad to have made those changes.

It was a beautiful and inspiring post. Thanks again.
