Thank you for nominating these poems. The second one you nominated (Miss_Sub's "Joseph") was in fact the winner of last month's "Spoken Word" comp.
I've now added the title of the winning poems next to the names of previous winners to make it clearer.

women switch on the light
then men come to switch it off
it has always been this way
this is not bipolar mood swings
it is just the everyday life that I live
all life is is pain and suffering
The ladies giveth
But the men taketh away
wash, rinse and repeat
wash, rinse and repeat
wash, rinse and repeat
It then puts me in a spin
spins in the darkness
spins out the light
it's too hard to fight
empathically polite
I invited the light
to help me tonight
this light to ignite
to smite outright; and
with a love overwrite
the darkness of night
because or despite
of this darken plight
no rescue in sight
this is the way it has always been
this is the way it will always be
regretting this life
regretting this wife
love cuts like a knife
I am home alone
alone with the phone
Pick up
Pick up
Please fuckin pick up
I feel the violence
of abject silence
head spinning around
I worship the ground
that is coming to me
I have an overwhelming need
for things to proceed
making all things cease
to finally witness peace
