When the revolution was around the corner
I was in a circle
- and, that alone sufficient is
to set the record straight:
I kept every appointment,
history chose to cancel -
A historian I am not
but my mind's crystal ball with clarity reveals
my past to be woefully incomplete
and in some parts lacking my presence!...
As for my present
it starts with most of my winks missing their mark
Two or more fingers around my neck
do not a necklace make
An umbrella always in hand
just in case maturity bits descend on me
And a manifesto to frame my portrait:
A word is more powerful than a thousand pictures!...
The rest I will proceed to bottle and save for a rainy day
And since the future tense I just used
wings come not with angels but with flies!..

A Music Box Dancer
( a nursery Sonnet )
An earthbound sentiment to what I’ve seen
With eyes & lips that paint me in a trance.
Cerebral balance floating in between,
This face that’s made of plaster, as I dance.
You twist the key so up on toes I spin,
My graceful arms raised high to catch the sun.
The silence tells of broken heart within,
That never shows the pain to anyone.
To turn in place on endlessly ad hoc,
I tell a secret only known to me.
In finding naught to envy would you mock
That I could never hear the melody.
For once be what an honest girl is like,
A plastic Cinders’ wish at stroke of night.

Her Creviced Heart/Love’s Tomb
This is my testament,
hear with undammed ears an old sentiment.
Now, my fellow poets of secrecy,
I’ll allow you to hear me.
Behold poetic confessions of my black heart!
Many a poet’s confessions
are buried in their long,
undisturbed tomb of revelations.
Beneath this fleshy crypt lies unclouded truths –
that which creviced my old flames heart.
Somewhere within the cryptic mist,
lies the question of the meaning of our last kiss.
Oh, the mysterious confessions of poetic sorrow,
she never knew there wouldn’t be a tomorrow.
But I shouldn’t cry after our love’s death, she won’t know it.
Now the past crevices the earth, and billows truth –
a slit from cheek to cheek now exhales,
to tell you dark tales
of my betraying youth.
That person you remember will never die in memory.
I’ve left a heartache I can’t heal,
Betrayal is surely a memory no doer can conceal.
The loss in her heart was not much of a loss,
Who can miss a sculptor of a double cross?
A talisman of ill luck.
What’s the power a dead-love
has over the ones whom parted?
What I have lost was something true –
the night our love with earthly feet departed.
Behold I pray before love’s tomb!
I hope today she cherishes the memories
and not fear making new ones with another.
I remember holding her hand to say, “it is over.”
With stony eyes that rained tear-droplets she sobered.
That veil of love’s death has not shrouded the memory.
“Why?” She asked.
The emotions of my face were masked,
“let’s move on and make believe nothing happened,” I said.
A promising relationship was then in an instant – dead.

In Love...
I’m in love with romance
In love with the idea of
Becoming a woman’s air
It’s life!
It’s an addiction
My drug of choice
Please administer
To me
The sounds
Of your
Fulfillment
Render to me
Your soft sighs of approval
That blushing hue
That moistening as you meditate
Your deep pondering thoughts
Of appreciation
When I supply
Words
And expressions
From the heart
That sends your soul shivers
When you can’t stop yourself
From uttering the words,
“You’re so sweet!”
I live for it!
Nothing makes me feel better
Than to bring
A special moment
To a beautiful woman
To make her feel like
She’s the only one who matters

Dem Lips
I bet most people
compliment your eyes
Your voluptuous ass
and honey dipped thighs
And girl believe me
You’re definitely not lacking in beauty
But what I see
When I lay my eyes on you
Is the most delicious set of lips I’ve ever seen
Damn!
Girl, not to be rude
(But the shiver that shot down my dick
When you puckered up for a kiss...)
I mean...
What I meant to say was,
Your lips are like a back rub
after a hard day at work
When all you wanna do is relax
Listening to slow jams
Sipping Courvoisier
And reminiscing about
Falling in Love
I dream of kissing you softly
and forgetting my troubles
Just being lost in the caress
Of your lips
I would kiss you so passionately
Everyday that you would feel my Love
You wouldn’t need
Any other reassurance
I would bite your lips ever so gently
Just enough to send an erotic sensation
Through your beautiful body
Fuck it...
I imagine your fellatio is like heaven
I can see you kissing my shaft
Down to my sack
And individually telling each one of my future kids that you love them
With dem lips
I bet you don’t even need to give head
You can speak an orgasm into fruition
Girl you got some sexy ass lips!
compliment your eyes

She Breathes
She breathes
Her breath is life
With each lung full
A heart beats strongly
In the emotions of love
A soul laments
Where passion dwelled
Seeing through eyes of fire
The truth of love
Imagining her lover
The shaping of moments
Between connecting beings
Her heart feels more alive
Finding a smile that was lost
Welling up with happiness
The beautiful entity of love
Touching her senses
Electrical shivers
This is why she breathes
To share her heart and soul
Her breath is life
With each lung full
A heart beats strongly
In the emotions of love
A soul laments
Where passion dwelled
Seeing through eyes of fire
The truth of love
Imagining her lover

Flip To Page 66
I bought this journal because my therapist told me to
She told me to “write down my feelings to express them,”
So that’s what I’m going to do
I fill the pages with self loathing and self pity
Sometimes I fill the pages with “I hate you,”
Written again and again
I leave the inkings of my heart on the paper
Page 1: I don’t have much to say.
Page 2: It’s just another regular day.
Page 3: Today was a bad day, I can’t keep these thoughts at bay.
Page 4-40: I hate everyone, I hate myself
Hate, hate, hate suffocating the pages. I’m done.
Page 41-50: I can’t stand another day, why must I suffer so much. This pain is a debt that I must pay.
Page 51-60: I have nothing, I am nothing, nothing matters.
Page 61-65: It’s been months and nothings changed. These thoughts are driving me insane.
Page 66: I can’t take this anymore
Every breath I take is agony
Blood splatter is on the ceiling and the floor
So here I stand on the 100th floor balcony
I’ve made a profound self discovery
With irreversible consequences
Once I push myself over the edge there’s no recovery
I’m now self aware, I’ve come to my senses
My therapist would be so proud
The sirens in the distant are wailing so loud
My toes dangle over the edge
As I stare into the flower beds
I’m sorry if this hurts you or seems sudden
But I’ve had these thoughts ever since I can remember
I wish life had a reset button
So cremate me and turn my flesh into embers
I’m sorry if you think I’m weak
But my life is bleak
Writing down my thoughts has opened my eyes
About how my existence is feeble and meek
I can’t keep up this facade
It’s a fools game of charade
So I’ve decided to acquaint
My face with the pavement
Before I meet my end
On the front of this journal,
I etch
“Flip to page 66, for the reason I’m dead.”

Bohemia: Notes of an Online Journal
"Bohemia"
It was days in the past
of no real jewelry
just costume plastic beads
with string and glass
an ID bracelet
with my first name
and sign
from the five & dime
no car of my own
with sheepskin
bucket seats
when gas was cheap
and coffee too
public transportation
as a rule
till I was grown
no trendy clothes with
designer tags
and torn denim knees
all I had —
homemade tie dyed tees
and worn out jeans
and flip flops
dodging the rain
no addicting drugs
and drink
for what I didn’t need
inside I think
scared to do the deed
but did accept
charity
when it came to weed
and nada in the bank
no job
unemployment check
paid the rent
and what was left
just two
phone booth calls
to rub together
shawls with fringe
and painted scarves
and henna art
upon my
hands and face
and rinsed
thru’ my long hair
when I would binge
I still go there
