When the revolution was around the corner
I was in a circle
- and, that alone sufficient is
to set the record straight:
I kept every appointment,
history chose to cancel -
A historian I am not
but my mind's crystal ball with clarity reveals
my past to be woefully incomplete
and in some parts lacking my presence!...

As for my present
it starts with most of my winks missing their mark
Two or more fingers around my neck
do not a necklace make
An umbrella always in hand
just in case maturity bits descend on me
And a manifesto to frame my portrait:
A word is more powerful than a thousand pictures!...
The rest I will proceed to bottle and save for a rainy day

And since the future tense I just used
wings come not with angels but with flies!..
