There has just been a lot of pressure lately due to things with my Mom so that has been very hard on me along with all of my other obligations. So it made me very emotional and I kind of needed to be broken out of that and I am glad my friend made me go. My Mom wanted me to go so I was able to setup all the emergency stuff just in case. But it really helped me to just have some fun. I am trying to do a reset because I cannot really afford to be depressed. It was definitely a great time with lots of stuff going on that night. lol I really needed that. But yes I will try to enjoy myself more for sure but it's a hard balance right now. Oh, and I love setting your imagination free. ;)

I am glad you felt it was uplifting, that is part of the mood I wanted to capture. My impatient formatting does seem to work sometimes. ;) I love to engage the mind with eloquent eroticism creating that imagery, perhaps I should have left off the pic in this instance and just let the words take you there. Something to consider I suppose. I love hitting the marks. ;) I hoped it would hit the marks because I liked it. But that doesn't mean other people will. :p I changed this one to reference you instead of I which is not usual for me although I was still basing it on my perspective. Yes I needed that more than I knew that's for sure. I was kind of spiraling down in a bad way but I feel much better so far this week. I needed a different scene really away from everything. And it was a crazy time that went on for a long time. lol There was no sleep involved but lots of other stuff. :p I love alluring, I wanted to capture the feel of innocence but at the same time that inner naughtiness, ready for some dirty dancing and to seduce on the dance floor and beyond. The farthest from innocence. ;) We have needs damnit!

It's always good to share the positive things and I love for people to have fun so I wanted to do something uplifting. I love road trips or any trip... traveling is something I absolutely live for. I am so eager to travel internationally because it's been a while. Too long. But anyway, definitely good for the soul. I am really glad you thought it was a great piece.

Thanks DC! me too. ;) I have been trying to figure out how to do that, it was hard tearing up all the time or crying. So this really helped me a lot. I was worried I might bring people down but really it was the opposite. I was able to set everything else aside and just escape the difficult stuff for a while. It was nice to take a road trip doing all sorts of crazy stuff with friends. :p Although I still do crazy stuff all the time because I need that :p, I had not done a road trip or concert for a while and these last weeks have been very difficult for me. I was caught in a pattern that was definitely not good for me. My emotions are intense so grieving and accepting things is very difficult. I always think I can fix anything. But sometimes you just can't and I have had to really accept that now and it hit me hard.

I am blown away, this poem is perfect in many ways. The writing is edgy and crisp, as each image is charged with emotion. Well done, witch.

I definitely wanted it to be pleasant and sexy reflecting my state of mind at the start of things this past weekend. As mentioned previously perhaps I will need to write a sequel expressing other things that came later from the trip. ;)

There are only certain ways to do that. lol (I have talked about those before) I so needed this past weekend, it really did more for me than I was expecting. I was spiraling in the wrong direction for sure. Next week will be stressful but anyway I am planning to take a white water rafting trip soon. I will pay for my friend to go as well. This descriptive, seductive write without the accompanying picture, I wonder what each of the readers would see.  I know one aspect that would be different. It wouldn't be surrounded by an urban setting!  It would be much more intimate.

Road trips are the liberation that we all should partake in once in awhile!   -Especially being writers.  To think of the motivations that refill our psyches, to write of what we experienced.  Such as this write of yours!  

Yes, I think I should have gone with no picture on this one in hindsight. Creatures of habit I suppose. Although the picture matches in some ways the words, it does not match the inspiration. And yes definitely an urban setting for sure. Interestingly the area was not as 'downtown' as I expected or wanted. But it was definitely intimate and we went more into the centre after. Of course I wore a skirt. lol The best way to dance is always in a skirt. Not to mention the accessibility of it. Oh yeah! I want hands on my thighs working under the skirt and up to... * nevermind, naughty look * I love road trips and I love trips under my skirt too. Ah, to write of the things experiences - I still have along way to go. ;) It was a very exciting night. :p

I really appreciate how you let me know how you see my writing progressing. This used to be more about being something away from other things in my life. But I have come to appreciate my writing more due to the feedback I have received. That's kind of a big thing for me I suppose. I never really thought about that way before. I love wandering around in people's minds and imaginations. You can find so many interesting things there for sure. Wandering around mine can make you go insane though. :p But it's a hell of a time getting there. I am glad you found it tasteful and alluring. I really enjoy creating images without explicit words. But I also love explicit writing as well and feel they both their place and time. I certainly get off on writing the explicit stuff too so to speak. lol Yes, had a great time... It was definitely a road trip too through some very beautiful  areas. And the bigger city is beautiful too. It had been a while since I was there. Because of the nature of the poet here, (you), a few attributes of the composition are not a shock. Live music is one of those things that we all need. Even a video concert doesn't have the same effect. I won't bore you with my narrative about a group of musicians that do concerts for a organization that provides support for struggling musicians.

But I love to shock you Jazz too. ;) Live music has an energy about it that certainly cannot be captured in video and the passion of the crowd too. It was a lot of people in a small area but I didn't get Covid so that's good. :p You are never a bore, a group of musicians that do concerts for struggling musicians sounds very interesting. I did change the perspective up some here, for some reason I felt more like writing it as if an observer of myself so to speak. I felt like it added something a little different, and I like trying different stuff. ;) It either works or it doesn't but need to keep you engaged and on your  toes.
