No More Games
One day I stopped hating
I ceased all meaningless activity
I completed the circle
I set my sights straight
Like an arrow I flew
I stopped acting
I got tired of playing with you
Violence & destruction became my reason for living
My out, my excuse
What is your excuse?
Destruction
Without hate, without fear, without judgement
I am no better then you
No one knows this better then I do
I just got tired of playing parlor games
I ceased all meaningless activity
I completed the circle
I set my sights straight
Like an arrow I flew
I stopped acting
I got tired of playing with you
Violence & destruction became my reason for living
My out, my excuse
What is your excuse?
Destruction
Without hate, without fear, without judgement
I am no better then you
No one knows this better then I do
I just got tired of playing parlor games

It's Got A Soprano's Vibe To It
After much deliberation. I, Damian DeadLove, being of sound mind and soul have come to a conclusion. I know what every writer has in common now, okay it could just be a theory, but please hear me out here. If anything it sounds cool but I’ll let you be the judge of that.
Can I get a drumroll, please?? We expose demons and slay them!! Told you it was pretty cool. Now some of you might be saying, “Your just now figuring that out, Damian?” Well I do walk to my own drumbeat, and sometimes I’ve been known to fall out of time. It happens more than I’d like to admit.

A Solitary Daisy
Planted along a worn rickety fence
In the front yard of a paint peeled white house
Stands a solitary daisy
Among blades of grass taller than she
A waft of her feint cheerful scent
Carried by the warm summer morning breeze
Brushes past me as I bend to bend to pick her
I am amazed at the simplicity she radiates
Graceful, dainty petals swaying
Strong, rooted stem giving way
I tenderly place her in my long, curly fire hair
Humbled by her innocence
I seemingly become to be as...

rest assured
an artistry in the spilling of words onto the page
finessing the thoughts
stringing them together in a way to make one feel
deeply and passionately with tempo, rhythm and rhyme
sublime feeling when you get it just right
troubling the depths stirring emotions
connecting with one another
we poets are a different breed
hunting for just the right word play
something soft to fall on the ears
it's in the versed I find God
sleepiness of soul and I'm dreaming
ladybug sunshine and starlit horizons
my mind turns happiness over...

She's gone
It was cold, very very cold.
I went for a walk with misery in one pocket.
In the other, my dead wife's golden locket.
How confused I felt
holding sunlight in one hand
and darkness in the other.
Onwards I walked.
Fists clenched against the truth or the cold or both.
" It will do you good " they said.
But it didn't
for I wished that I was dead.
But I wasn't
I had a life to live instead.

LET IT ALL OUT!
Verse 1
Am all set in a disco..
What a mind blowing sound flow..
Let it out..
Armors on point..
Let it out..
Barriers on flood..
Let it out..
Carriers no choice..
Let it out..
Dummies now go dumb..
Let it out..
All my five gears done wore..
Fellas up front in systole..
Fellas back here in diastole..
When I set my foot on turbo..
You will see town square don't blow..
Taj mahal doesn't flow..
Even the Pentagon don't poll..
The pores on...

( After Alice Fulton )
I once had reason to fear
humans in general—
people are people, individual
as their unpredictable demeanor
regardless of upbringing
I've experienced them
in farmhouse pigsties
to Buckingham Palace—
often unable to tell a difference
aside from clothes or conduct.
I once observed various groups
in a museum:

Gate of serenity
Come and become relaxed in vibes that will affect the very, foundation of your true spiritual existence. For let's take a silent walk through, the forest of the trees of life. For don't be afraid of learning what is necessary to learn, about thyself as we go deeper than deep into the deepness of your own mind and heart. Yet as you go through the process of just eliminate what we don't want and need, you replaced it with positivity as that is what you want and need to feel, the deepness of the affect that this place has upon you. For just stop and look and listen, not to your heart but listen...

Opportunity
Take it.
It's a break.
Stress relieving.
You're never late.
Open minded.
Never fake.
The lonely winner.
Unstable state.
First to finish.
Piece of cake.
Thoughts diminish.
Erratic trait.
Needless glory.
Uplifting fate.

TO THE 'CREOLE LARA CROFT'
If the picture is you,
then I say: "Good on you
for maintaining a shape
to make a man go ape,
with you alone smitten
and by lust's bug bitten,
succumbing to your charms
then fall into your arms.
You need no hip gun to
knock out a man - you
are all your very own
most erotic weapon.
You'll see, come, and conquer,
leaving him spent after!"
