The Unanswered--the Unasked
The Unanswered—the Unasked”
I longed to speak, if only as a whisper
Hoping that you would answer,
Though death might take me
I feared your heart might break me.
Fragile perhaps my bones may be
But no pain is greater than that calamity
Of a callous word then spoken:
To a heart newly mended, so newly broken.
We were tears together,
Falling always, falling ever
To the song of roses red.
But silence only do you shed
On the petals as they wilt
As we justify your guilt.
But I must kiss the lie
You’re telling...
I longed to speak, if only as a whisper
Hoping that you would answer,
Though death might take me
I feared your heart might break me.
Fragile perhaps my bones may be
But no pain is greater than that calamity
Of a callous word then spoken:
To a heart newly mended, so newly broken.

Confession
Confession”
I was in love the day I died,
And that day you replied
With a promise for me:
A tear that was so deadly—
Poison of lips that fell
That haunt me in the cell
Of a dungeon I have built
In the shadow of my guilt.
What was it I gave with my embrace
To taste the tears on your face?
What did you tell yourself to do?
Did you weep for what I took from you?
If I could go back—turn time around
Would I leave you as I found
You in your nest?
Is this some kind of test—
What if I confessed— ...
I was in love the day I died,
And that day you replied
With a promise for me:

Skies of Memory
Skies of Memory”
Is it mercy if thou wilt forget
The smiles that we regret?
Though I dare not speak the name
I know the smile stayed the same,
As once in a memory
But there is no smile for me.
Time, did it take my pain from you
While you were all I ever knew?
I heard the thunder of my confession
And I have learned my lesson—
You were an angel, and I was just a boy
But it’s amazing what wings I could destroy.
I deserved to die, I wanted to die first
So that you would see the worst
Was over the day I...

Eclipse
Eclipse”
What is in my hands, if not your voice?
We face the open wound, and we rejoice.
Let us bleed for another day beyond the end
When we’re too quiet to stand and pretend
That we can bloom outside each other’s sun.
This scar of our names…bleeding as one.
I do not regret a moment of this pain.
I do not believe it was in vain
That I whispered into the heart of the dust
Of the shadow that you cast
No more on the sun we used to share—
An eclipse that told me you were there.
You’re still there…in some way… ...

Co-existence
I am living with myself
My past as a loving father
And my present
As a loving woman, and father
Of my beautiful daughter
Today
On Father's Day
I received two cards from her
Both said Happy Fathers Day
But one had the Transgender flag
Covering the front of it
The gift of Malteser Truffles
Were also very welcome!
And i was kind of grateful
That they were not pink
Some traditions do need to be maintained
The significance
Of the transgender card
Is the inclusivity of it
Not just for me, but also my...

This Time
This Time
In an infinite number
in any direction,
The Quarter,
The Classic,
The Agent,
The Monk,
the same way
it was written
in the script.
You never know
who else
wants
to be
a monk.
They all
do.

Homophobia
Homophobia”
When I become a dwindling memory,
Will you let me rest here peacefully?
Will you believe you’ll see me in Heaven—
Though I lived such life as a sin?
When you weep over my bones
Will you lay so many stones
As you lay your tears aside
As I embark on the awaiting tide?
They say I chose this life that killed me,
Dying, my blood is tainted, as they see.
But I’ve never slept quite so well
A softer pillow awaits me in the depths of Hell.
They say this is the cursed life that my body chose
And the...

LGBT Poetry: What it Means
On Twitter, Instagram, D.U.P., YouTube and Tik Tok, I have been presenting my work as LGBT Poetry. It seems fitting. Because, at its core, it IS LGBT poetry. But, this isn't to say that only members of that community (of which I am a part) can read it or view the reading and appreciate it. I like to think my work is universal because it is a rare occasion that I specify the sex of the person I am writing about. Since none of it is gender specific, I feel everybody of any orientation (LGBT or otherwise) can enjoy and relate to it.
I want people to view my work as "safe." As a...

Bowled Over
The grass grows greener
On the other side
As me, and a former bowling green
No longer have any bowls to hide
Now completely bowl-less, and free
Surrounded by many a beautiful tree
There are no stumps!
In this wonderful surreality
And amongst these fine bowers
Grows a multitude of flowers
Where i pirouette with the fairies
For hours, and hours, and hours
As the smiling humorous sun
Watches on with great fun
Then moons, at the moon
And spun, and spun, and spun
As everyone
Was bowled over

Not Twitter, Twatter
the most horrible thing to see
is what people may think about me
Aa way to ridicule Putin
by portraying him
as a transwoman
the gremlin
from the kremlin
has nothing in common
with the likes of me
Losing the will to live
in a world
that mocks
the different
mock the evil tyrant
by all means
you'll get my support
without question
and in complete agreement
a devil' a demon, a monster
a twat
nothing trans
about that

Gender Identity In Perilous Times
Who makes the decision as a person stand
Once life exits the birth canal are you now considered woman or a man
Pink or Blue
We extend our congratulations as we waited for this handsome bundle anew
However, what happens when one’s not sure after coming of age
The mentality of your gender, a person just cannot gage
Parents dealing with alter egos and the backlash of identity rage
Marbles and trains become dolls and dresses
Counselors out of pocket expenses to determine undetected sexes
But mama, I feel that way everyday

Ladies, And Lairds...
I was once
Both a Scottish Laird
And a Lady of the lakes
Due to a mishap at birth
Well, we all make mistakes!
Ive now changed my name to Nessie
I'm a lairdy lady of lakes, and lochs
I now curtsy, with a bow
Wearing sometimes cutey kilts, and mini frocks
In my early years, i tossed the caber
And had my highland flings
But my heart, and soul weren't in it
During my time, as a changeling!
