Generation Z-ero
The cuckold generation
tide-pod guzzling snowflakes
begging to be micro-chipped
begging to be numbered
Xenophobic and neurotic
disconnected and psychotic
reprogrammed and robotic
Generation Zero
seeking- individual identity
trapped- in a surrogate reality
no social skills
no common sense
Easily offended
looking to accuse
begging for defense
from genuine experience
stampede of the sheep
march to the gulags
with faces bowed down
aglow with silicon light ...

Officer
longings for something I've never had
wielding the power some women have
my youth was sensitive and shy
became a mommy at fifteen
and after that, I had body issues
along the way, I denied the guys that were genuinely nice
hurt feelings would surely come of it
for some reason, I always attracted police officers
by this time I started using drugs, and my parents
had put me out for having a baby so young
and it was the eighties and I was depressed
my apartment was nice and soon I met the neighbors
they introduced me to cocaine ...

A dysfunctional family life
It's me again the story teller of words ✍️ I write these words from my own memories of my past life, as I read a story that reminded me of my own past life. 🤨 What the abuse had done to me a reflection upon my own life and world. 🌎 For I can relate to this story of living with a abusive man, not my real father. 🤨 YET he felt it necessary to hit me and to put his hands on me, when he was drunk punching and hitting me with his fist. 👊 Yet my own mother would say to me that's what you a man in your life. 😲 Yet treating it like it was alright...

She Found Me
I was being shy and was trying hide
So I covered my eyes and to my surprise she found me
On that warm summer night under the moonlight
She walked up to me, lifted my cap looking in curiously
“Why are you hiding?” she said with that a smile
The moment our eyes met there was something
As her group of friends and mine met that first time
I felt my heart’s rhythm thumping and bumping
“I’m not hiding” I replied still trying to hide
With a shy smile she must’ve found appealing
I was trying to be smooth in those old days of youth ...

Take a ride with me
I want you to play a game with me.
Look at the dots on the wall here.
They tell me where we will go next.
Random journeys into the unknown.
And at night we are only shadows.
Simply moving from place to place.
Through this underground network.
A strange world woven in the city.
With points of metro schemes.

eighteen, I guess
it was uncommon in dartford
to meet two attractive french girls in the pub, and me and my mate
derek were immediately besotted,
although, unfortunately for the
sake of our friendship, both with
the same one, not that it mattered; neither of ‘em fancied us ..

Sirens of the Secretarial Coven
Sirens of the Secretarial Coven
My non-traditional for men job quest
Lands me in the typist’s oasis
Of the secretarial pool of Portland, Maine
I enter the perfumed office parlor
Of the skirted realm
Whose rose-scented atmosphere
Holds hope for the dream job
Of female cohorts
For a young man with great expectations
In the pursuit of happiness
To be found among blouses
Where I am to be administered the typing test
By an instructress introduced by her sister in ink as:
“Don’t worry John, she won’t bite. ...

Gotta know your name
I see you walking your dog
I see you petting the old stray cat
I see you feeding the birds
I gotta know your name
I know you don’t have a girlfriend
I know you don’t have a boyfriend either
I know you live on my street
I gotta know your name
Why oh why
Can’t I just get up the courage to ask
Your face looks really, really kind
But what if you think I’m stupid trash
I see you walking the beach
I see you talk to the guy on the corner
I see the dreams in your eyes
I gotta know your name

The Eeks of the World
For five weeks
for several summers
I attended a sleepaway camp in North Carolina,
near my grandparents' vacation home
I think it was listed as a Christian camp
There was another Jewish girl once
I sang Dear Lord Jesus
along with everyone else
No big whoop
The archery counselor's nickname was Eek
She was an older woman
with the type of shortly curled,
pubic looking perm
that made me wonder how much worse her untreated hair could have been
She seemed to dislike me
Or at least my technique
I was a...

Wintergreen
I remember at fifteen
Blinking lights
Color of wintergreen
Above a summer night
Underneath a June twilight
On a ride steering
The Ferris Wheel
Slow loud spins
Feeling alive
Elevated to the top
Loving life
Way up high In the sky
Laughing you and I
Eighties painted eyes
Red feathers in my hair
Glancing at you
Trying not to stare
Wondering if
You'll make a move
Or will it be me
Your hand on my knee
We're spinning around
Inventing...

THE EXAMINATION DESK
It was the day of nine o’clock G.C.S.E math’s exam. We lined up outside the lunch hall like conscripts awaiting basic training. The black painted mesh of the bike shed was flaking. I picked at it. I felt sick. I snuck into the drama block to smoke a roll up. It made me even sicker. I came back, I took my tie off, and then my jumper.
‘Where’s your tie?’ said Mr. Clumper.
‘I don’t feel well, you don’t need to a tie to pass an exam,’ I said.
‘Rules are rules. Put your tie back on.’
I obeyed. I looked at my friend. He was browsing a revision book. He was...
