She Found Me
I was being shy and was trying hide
So I covered my eyes and to my surprise she found me
On that warm summer night under the moonlight
She walked up to me, lifted my cap looking in curiously
“Why are you hiding?” she said with that a smile
The moment our eyes met there was something
As her group of friends and mine met that first time
I felt my heart’s rhythm thumping and bumping
“I’m not hiding” I replied still trying to hide
With a shy smile she must’ve found appealing
I was trying to be smooth in those old days of youth ...

Take a chill pill butt-face
Even though your hella buff,
Rick, you look more like a wannabe
That freakazoid is ralphing all over her shoes
Big Whoop, Crissy’s a foodie and a wasteoid
No duh. I knew Jenn was like a gazillionaire.
She vegged out all day, hanging out with Chris, getting high.
Doug is a bodacious surfer.
He tells everyone to eat his shorts,
when people are criticizing his tubular moves
Brad is so grody. His bod though isn’t as gnarly as Ken’s.
Barf me out. Gag me with a spoon. Let’s motor outta here. ...

Blind Date
There was no tingle of anticipation
No looking forward to him
Just thought that I should go
And meet a man unknown to me
fate had plans, as the stars aligned
my friend’s date and mine both blind
chemistry did spark we connected
our dates were sweet as ice-creams
so surrender we did to fate’s comedy
in and out of candy and flowers
chocolates and murmured promises
pillow talks far beyond the night
ten years later he walked by
I couldn’t remember his name
We were vague memories
Of misspent youth.

Broken Heart
She broke my heart
With her mind games
Telling the truth
Didn't set me free
But if felt right
to clear my chest
For Love Is A Bitch
And she will break your HEART!
With her mind games
Telling the truth
Didn't set me free
But if felt right
to clear my chest
For Love Is A Bitch
And she will break your HEART!

The Eeks of the World
For five weeks
for several summers
I attended a sleepaway camp in North Carolina,
near my grandparents' vacation home
I think it was listed as a Christian camp
There was another Jewish girl once
I sang Dear Lord Jesus
along with everyone else
No big whoop
The archery counselor's nickname was Eek
She was an older woman
with the type of shortly curled,
pubic looking perm
that made me wonder how much worse her untreated hair could have been
She seemed to dislike me
Or at least my technique
I was a...

Wintergreen
I remember at fifteen
Blinking lights
Color of wintergreen
Above a summer night
Underneath a June twilight
On a ride steering
The Ferris Wheel
Slow loud spins
Feeling alive
Elevated to the top
Loving life
Way up high In the sky
Laughing you and I
Eighties painted eyes
Red feathers in my hair
Glancing at you
Trying not to stare
Wondering if
You'll make a move
Or will it be me
Your hand on my knee
We're spinning around
Inventing...

Gotta know your name
I see you walking your dog
I see you petting the old stray cat
I see you feeding the birds
I gotta know your name
I know you don’t have a girlfriend
I know you don’t have a boyfriend either
I know you live on my street
I gotta know your name
Why oh why
Can’t I just get up the courage to ask
Your face looks really, really kind
But what if you think I’m stupid trash
I see you walking the beach
I see you talk to the guy on the corner
I see the dreams in your eyes
I gotta know your name

SOMEONES GONE MISSING
What has this world turn into when our young womens and little girls even our young mens and little boys, cant even step out the door without disappearing without a trace of there steps as if they werent even here, among us those that care about there self being and well being of life. For you cant even watch the news nowadays and not hear about another one has gone missing, vanishing into thin air without a trace of where they have gone for weeks and days and months on end with no calls nor letters to the family to know that they are alright somewhere. This world has change so much over the...

Neglected Pause
I live in a neglected pause —
I think I just fell into it by mistake
so I made a case for ‘serendipity’ to add meaning;
“God’s Will” someone suggested, trying to be helpful.
Exploring the pause I found a stray dog without a bone —
how the hell did he get here?
But when I encountered pink carnations rocking on a rainbow
to The Doors’ Roadhouse Blues, I thought
wow, weird scenes inside a goldmine indeed,
I’ve stopped the clock — life is worth living after all.

Take a ride with me
I want you to play a game with me.
Look at the dots on the wall here.
They tell me where we will go next.
Random journeys into the unknown.
And at night we are only shadows.
Simply moving from place to place.
Through this underground network.
A strange world woven in the city.
With points of metro schemes.

eighteen, I guess
it was uncommon in dartford
to meet two attractive french girls in the pub, and me and my mate
derek were immediately besotted,
although, unfortunately for the
sake of our friendship, both with
the same one, not that it mattered; neither of ‘em fancied us ..
