Comfortable with Silence
I’m my own man
understated
elegant in a rough way
a cup of black tea
in a coffee frenzied rush hour
not a pretty boy
I don’t do things to be different
I am different
if you’re looking for cool
look elsewhere
I’m pleated pants
in flat front chino land
no validation needed
comfortable with silence
wearing a 1950 black Omega Seamaster
wind up baby

THE TASTE WAS DELICIOUS
I had often
thought about
how it would
taste, what
the texture
would feel
like in my mouth;
would it be
sweet, bitter,
or maybe salty.
I thought it
over and bought
a piece of octopus
from a street vendor;
to my surprise
The taste was delicious.
Have you ever
been surprised by
a new taste?
thought about
how it would
taste, what
the texture
would feel
like in my mouth;
would it be
sweet, bitter,
or maybe salty.
I thought it
over and bought
a piece of octopus
from a street vendor;
to my surprise
The taste was delicious.
Have you ever
been surprised by
a new taste?

~of the teas and rafflesias, of life and death respectively:)(
nope, don’t put that cold
hearted coffee in forgotten
caffeines and robbed off
aromas, over my table
in fertile seeded grounds
a sacred chaos
of ever newly transplanted
hazy yet the embed
transparencies..
though
that is such innate foolproof
of your n- sleazy mimicking
or totally hacking tactics
all in your that streetsmart
.. that overly talented robotic
smirk of a wayward hippie
junkie nonchalance..
am better off with the slow
brewing bagged up divine
mini teas...

Let Magic In
Enchantment—
worlds unseen;
your pale, lilac face
upon slender, spiked bodice
bare of leaves
Gateway to the in-between
liminal spaces—
magical mystery. . .
channeling medicine
of absentee herbs
within the healer's garden
Delicate as a sip of brew;
but, beware! vertigo of the soul
if one drinks the cup whole

Appreciated kindness
Will I ever know why
making a wish is so hard?
Turning a wish into a truth.
Hold the breath until I'm blue.
Why should I...
Why could I...
Why would I even try?
No year is ever so new.
No bone is easy to chew.
So let me simply just blow you
a kiss... a kiss... a kiss...
Let's wait for the blizzard to end.
I swear to you no one else will know.
No soul was harmed in the making
of this movie slow motion!
No light is clear until meeting
the darkness.

another cup
one cup of tea and I’m more than
ready to go out of a morning
so grey and windy and wet and
who am I kidding, fill her back up ..

Stop and Smell the Coffee
Time flies by everyone wants to get somewhere
they have no time to stand and admire
there is no calm in their existence
everything is rushing all needs are instant
not all wants that tea and conversation
or dip their biscuits in hot milky coffee
or watch a bird fly overhead in admiration
and wonder how it is to fly so high, so free
they are tied up with the world
what is Kate wearing to the Gala
why Meghan’s hat makes her look old
does red go with black or yellow
how is old Bruce doing now
why did Tiffany’s...

History of Tea
Writing is a job, a talent, but it's also the place to go in your head. It is the imaginary friend you drink your tea with in the afternoon.”
― Ann Patchett, Truth and Beauty
They say you can tell a lot about a man, by the way he drinks his tea,
I take my tea black like my heart..
the ritual of tea
for me, goes way back, spent
at the dinning table with Opa and Oma
many a tall tale told
Earl back then, lots of milk
two tea spoons of sugar
Coincidentally I discovered a new tea,
this time a food ritual though Yum Cha..

Nice To See You In This Cafe
Clare sipped her iced tea.
Eric walked in and smiled at Clare.
They enjoyed a tasty lunch.
