Not On The Web!
found a rather long legged spider in my sink, poor thing was drowned on washing up i'd left last night. if i'd found it alive, i would of issued it with a parachute, and evicted it out of the kitchen window. i'm a bit puzzled, as there was barely any water near it? was it bumped off by a love rival spider? or an assassin? did it commit hari kari, or read the karma sutra, and found it to much? but more worrying, is it male, and if so, is there an even larger female lurking around, and/or a mass of siblings running around, and can spiders catch covid, and will i be set upon by a gang of...

Humbeatles
So why are Humbugs
Called humbugs
Who thought up this word?
As they do not quite hum
Or look like bugs
Humbugs are frankly absurd
Or it's suggested origins in Norse
Hum(ph) Norse for night
Bogey meaning apparition
HumphBogey
Reminds me of an actor
Of the Hollywood tradition
Not a chewy sweet
With the Humbug factor
A humming bug however
I would not be keen to eat
Humbug i prefer as nonsense
And i couldn't eat that
It all makes as much sense
As a dinosaur in a hat

Faerings
Just heard
The Fairy Bells ring
A summoning
To the Fairy Circle
A great gathering
Of the magical Fae
To meet at this twilight
Betwixt night, and day
First
A short, long parade
Led by pixie pipers
And humming toads
Followed by the three sister fairy queens
Mab, Maeve, and Mora
Proud, elegant, and beautiful
And sometimes dark
Oft thought of as three witches
Never, ever, for a lark
The great gathering
Commence to dance
Creating a magical mandala
As they swayed, and...

Walls Of Silence
Walls Of Silence
I hear the whispers
As i pass
The whispering wall
I pose it many a question
Yet it remains silent as the night
The whispers
Are merely the echoes
Of questions previously asked of the wall
Yet despite this
Strangely
I like talking
To this brick wall
As it judges not my words
And i find it's silence
Curiously comforting
And oft have i wondered
What it was like
Being a brick
As i become a part
Of the brick commune
As the sands of time gather
Cementing long...

Knit Wit!
Had an awful time
Trying to buy some wool today
Firstly, i asked for a bag of wool
The owner, when i asked
Misgendered me twice
Not very nice
(But apparently he does it to all the ladies)
Then
I'm not sure what his game was
He told me he actually had three bags full
I thought "great!"
"I only need one!"
He then began to tell me
That all three had already been sold
And who to
So why did he build my hopes up?
I felt he'd been pulling wool over my eyes
Completely wasting my time

Amanda, The Fairy Queen
She sat astride her throne
Like a beautiful goddess
Gorgeous raven tresses
Long, and flowing
Like the darkened silhouetted leaves
Of a willow, under a moonlight gaze
Her lips, a subtle rouge, gently pouting
And her eyes smiled, with a curious modesty
that both blinked, and blushed, all at once
A picture, that only an artist, could truly capture
Her Rubenesque loveliness glowed
As a golden bloodshot moon
A strange magic, and mysterious mystique
Glowing, and alive
A free-spirited, ethereal being
A latter day Titania ...

The Cow Moon
The day i had sex with the moon
And mooned as i did
I was the only goon on the moon
Floating around like a confused aphid
So i toast you my love
My goblet filled with soft honey
The desire for mead, i canst concede
Has left me short of money
But lets quaff away
Until the end of day
As we fill our hearts with joy
And joust, and jape
With a swirl of the cape
And pretend to act so coy
Alas a cloud steps in
Although quite thin
Has blocked the moon right now
The cloud is moved on, by a farting bovine
The moon...

Toad In A Hole
A toad
All agog
Asked a frog
"Good morning Mister Frog"
"How deep is the water today?"
Mister Frog
Shot out his long rolling tongue
Caught a passing insect
Seemed to ponder awhile
Whilst feasting
Then replied
"Nee deep, nee deep"
The toad
Believing this to be the answer
Thanked the frog
With a giant leap
Splashed into the water
Sank straight to the bottom of this deep river
And drowned
Mister Frog, looked on
Caught another insect
Then leapt onto a Lily Pad ...
