Spring Turns to Summer
coming then leaving
rejoicing then grieving
spring turns to summer again
mist on the mountains
rain's liquid fountains
falling but always the same
all is in motion
here by the ocean
wind just a gentle breeze
skipping and dancing
leaping and prancing
from the sea into the trees
fluttering sputtering
whispering muttering
'what no one understands
coming then leaving
everywhere weaving
here in these sacred lands...

here comes the time again
for ethereal flowers to fly
for the poet to watch and sigh,
to only behold without asking why?
here's a dandelion about to fade away
the music dissolving into atmosphere
with the slightest touch of the breeze
and your heart takes flight overseas
carried aloft, into heaven's relief
stripped from any mundane grief
entranced the feel, a delightful sheer
and quietly the dark leaves the night
a bright tide, then illuminates the light ...
