The Coronation
a caravan of stars
lit up the sky,
placid blue heavens
veiled with soft moon sighs...
the June midnight
seemed a jubilant celebration,
for the dark enchantress-
the mysterious night...
a coronation by the cosmos
for the black beauty
to be the queen of earth
so she could grow in her supremacy;
with each passing day
the night would be longer to stay...
those shimmering stellar gypsies
in hues of gold, red and blue
dazzling the ether
with their joyous laughter,...
lit up the sky,
placid blue heavens
veiled with soft moon sighs...
the June midnight
seemed a jubilant celebration,
for the dark enchantress-
the mysterious night...
a coronation by the cosmos
for the black beauty
to be the queen of earth
so she could grow in her supremacy;
with each passing day
the night would be longer to stay...
those shimmering stellar gypsies
in hues of gold, red and blue
dazzling the ether
with their joyous laughter,...

Summer Nights
I can't wait for cool summer nights
Bonfires and s'mores
Family and friends
Pets and creatures in the dark
Fireflies and spring peepers
The stars shining bright all around me
I could get lost just staring at them
Being outside at night in the summer is my favorite
It's so relaxing and calm
My soul heals in the darkness
Nothing can compare to those nights
Bonfires and s'mores
Family and friends
Pets and creatures in the dark
Fireflies and spring peepers
The stars shining bright all around me
I could get lost just staring at them
Being outside at night in the summer is my favorite
It's so relaxing and calm
My soul heals in the darkness
Nothing can compare to those nights

Bonfire, Summer 2002
The night is fair and studded with the glow
of citronella candles, lightning bugs,
the flare of cigarettes, and flashing smiles.
She shrugs, the bottle at her lips a choice
that makes her smirk and turn her wandering eyes
to laughing bodies sweating in the heat.
Her limbs feel light, she moves to claim her prize.
She takes a seat, his lap is hot and firm
and soon his hand is on her flushing skin.
They share a beer and kisses, lost to all,
as lips demand a taste of salty sin.
The others cheer and leave them all alone
to lose...
of citronella candles, lightning bugs,
the flare of cigarettes, and flashing smiles.
The others cheer and leave them all alone
to lose...
