My Mechanical Heart
I think it was circa eighteen forty something,
When I woke up from the operating table,
The good doctor told me “Congratulations!
Now you can do anything if you’re willing and able.”
I gazed around the operating room,
Which looked like a watch maker’s workstation,
I thought the man was more of a mad scientist,
A nihilist when he told me I was his latest creation.
“I’ve given you something special” he said,
“You can have a long, long life if you desire,
You are unique in many ways but don’t forget,
To wind your gears...

Through the Wormhole
and out on the other side the ship came out,
Relampago’s controls steadied and stabilized,
“Status report” the captain asked from the chair,
And that was the moment when we all realized…
We were the first vessel about to travel through time,
Via a wormhole found in Andromeda’s spiral galaxy,
And as we came closer and closer to the coordinates,
We understood our journey was beyond any fantasy.
Suddenly we felt the pull through the dark of space,
We picked up momentum the lights began to stretch,
All the controls on the bridge began...

The color of darkness from which the cosmos were conceived
That from which light emerged so that we'd be able to see
Brightening the paths of the aboriginal King & Queen
Who studied astrology of the stars for the ultralight beam
The knowledge, wisdom & understanding of the Sun, Moon & Stars
Used in our evolution & execution of creating our space cars
To attempt future trips to the planets Jupiter, Venus & Mars
Planting seeds on Earth first while admiring others from afar
No matter who you are you descended from...

Light thoughts
A single photon speeding
From a distant dying star
Is captured by the mirror
Of mighty Palomar.
Alone it tells us little
But with trillions more combined
It helps us see our heavens
In mankind's kind of mind.
In the spectrum of my life
Through grey prisms of the night
Dark hues of guilt and grief
And bright colours of delight.
Each a spectrum of our own.
Which Fraunhofer line of fate
Condemns someone to foolishness
While another 's hailed as Great?
