Ammonite

I earned my living in a very different way in the last century. It was creative and satisfying work. Great to be paid to do what I loved doing!  Then I was made redundant during Thatcher's austerity cuts. I turned to something very different, and found satisfaction supplying cultural and other information to ex-servicemen and others. I did it as a hobby and earned nothing by doing it, even though several people plagiarised my work and published it without permission or credit - including one prominent writer and TV personality. That phase has now faded out and as I approach the end of my life I have to consider what I can do now.
