The Oblique Throne
Beneath the veneer of gilded eminence,
Where banners whisper of liberty’s pretense,
An insidious pestilence threads its way,
A labyrinthine decay in the guise of sway.
Bribes clink like spectral bells in the void,
Transactions muttered, destinies destroyed.
Thus, the calculus of corruption unfurls
A calculus steeped in gilded whorls.
Men anointed by the faceless tide
Bargain the marrow of nations with pride.
Nepotistic skeins entangle the just,
And cronyistic engines corrode the trust.
What laws emerge from such infernal looms?...

Against the rain(reign)
Holding up a tent against the rain
Buckets flooding in try to save the food
Wetness pouring in push the rain to the river
Take me to your servant pull up bozi you’ll get cramps in the water
Morning rises rain realizes and recedes
Dancing with good music
Cry again and cry again feel the rhythm
Of Kinshasa thank you for your attention
It’s the other friends turn keep the rain away
Here it comes again wring out my wet clothes
Wind howling tarps flying away
Hold on tight can’t...

Refuse, Resist
Gov't officials see a bright future ahead
The poor will no longer exist
Drive these people out of their homes
Increase their rent, please try & resist
Isolate them like you once did in Harlem
Ghettos without prison walls
If they revolt, cops smash their heads
Or spray mace into their eyeballs
Breakdown the walls that kept us segregated
No time like the present time
Take out the ruling class
No one in life should get a free pass
The poor will no longer exist

You may be wondering why Pittinix has been silent about the result of the recent US presidential election.
The people of America desperately needed Trump because the American political system is a circus.

Been living like an outcast
In a prison cell working a nine to five
Fear stays king, hate is strong
I’m told to pay or hang
Separation is god now
Saints and devils dance together
Good people are shot down
Crushed in the womb
News tells me we won
Gas prices will start to decline
While war machines start production
Other countries laugh
While we flounder in education

Women remain at war
Under siege by an old enemy

When the candidate that you voted for has major flaws
they can't be returned via the lemon laws
Even if you have justifiable cause
life is not a VR game that you can reset or put on pause
A Tariff is a tax
and those are the facts
ICE for some will be their newest escort
and for their whole family they will deport
Should they put up a fight-on their throat they will place a knee
and get away with it bc they will have full immunity

Feelin it’s not true
Live like Gatsby
On 180,000
Gilded halls of Congress
Just a scene for theatrics
As his people wait for him
To do something anything
Make their everyday less painful
It’s a performance for deep pockets
Raise some green for his next race

Act so pious...

I'm in a library with my girlfriend
We're listening to some guy talk about politics
Pro this, anti that
He sounded like an ignorant asshole
He looks into his small, uninterested audience and says that he's looking for a great place to get some dinner
My girlfriend gets up and says, "Would you like a great meal or something fast & easy?"
He says, "I'm looking for fine dining with a romantic ambience."
She says, "I have the perfect place for a great meal and something that's fast & easy"
She takes his hand & leaves

Behavior marks us all as good or bad
with dissension evermore in the ranks
of any milieu that we've ever had
from the front lines to the national banks
with most of us opting for something nice
to showcase our variety of thought
and by considerations twice and thrice
we see common ground as a tiny plot
which serves the public as a litmus test
to show who is greedy and who is not
in the melee to see just what is best
