Going out
I sat alone at the table waited on by a lab technician in a hazmat suit.
The kind of situation that would seem normal
if I was ordering weapons-grade uranium to-go.
His muffled voice could barely cut through the triple layered protection
designed to keep him immune to even the wrath of god.
A few awkward chuckles and invisible faux-smiles later he was on his way
to the reactor to retrieve my lunch.
I notice the only other person bold enough to brave the new world
like me a few tables to my right.
His gaze is sharp and full of intent....

The colors are a sign of Ixchel the Mayan goddess of love whose name in hieroglyphics is Chak Chel or ‘large rainbow.’
The risk of getting caught in the swell of tropic desire makes him step out of geyser rain. But the rainbow goddess summons him back and again he feels her pour liquid sunshine upon his rise toward heaven.

Back in the carefree days, when we would wander the city streets till the dawns hours.
Going on mission dumps, opening the ashtrays with his key, or as he put it, "City pays me to collect dumps, this my job". Still amuses me peoples reactions to this, his usual response to those laughing and shouting, "I love dumps, dumps for life" .
My response was usually, "are you going to buy us tobacco?" Fuck off then“.
Diving in dumpsters, another favourite of Bobby's, it was like a treasure...
