Hooked
I walked out onto the pier
in one hand was a fishing rod
In the other hand, was the gear
Today was the day I was going to show
I'm coming back with a fish
I will not buy it from the store
They all laughed at me
They cannot believe it is true
I'll show them they'll see
I placed the gear down
I took the blood worm out
casting into the blue was easy I found
Two hours in
The line began to jiggle a bit
This is where the fight begins
I yanked the rod up in a start ...

AN ADDICTION I CAN'T BREAK

don't remember when
I was first attracted to YOU.
A mental picture?
A poem?
A Comment?
BUT
somewhere and at
some time you became
"stuck" in my senses
and desires.
YOU
became a beautiful fantasy:
imagining holding YOU close,

Time Passing Through
Can't the future just wait?
Can't we pass the obstacles we await?
Could we fool and dodge fate?
They say the future is happy and bright.
But I can't help but worry at night.
Life is like an endless fight.
You fight to live and survive.
Or just sleep peacefully through the night.
Which one you get is not under your control.
We just want to savour the moment.
And not let the bad thoughts of the future take toll.

The big turtle of Galapagos.
Turtles, in general, are not good at communicating with anyone, at least those odd figures who talk a lot and sometimes sing

SURPRISED BY THE TASTE (2)
I
had heard comments
both positive and negative;
had actually been present
while others enjoyed it
and lauded its taste.
TO
look at it there wasn't
much to be excited about;
yet, I was frequently encouraged
to taste it and I'd like it.
THEN
one evening I gave in and
tasted Caviar. Yes, it was
different and I was surprised
by the taste. In time it grew
on me. Expensive but worth it!
MEET
me at the Kissing Place
and we'll share Caviar.
OKAY? My mouth is watering!

Warmth
I don't know what's about the feeling.
Of warmth that comforts us and gets us reeling.
Maybe it's the way it reminds you of a friend's warm hug.
Or your own child,gently catching your attention by tugging on your shirt.
The warmth of sunshine rays.
On hot summer beach days.
The dear childhood days when you used to play.
And the times you would create.
The memories you hold onto.
And the upcoming of fate.
The warm sensation warmth does create.
Sometimes it can soothe the soul.
Or chase away any negative emotion...

Internal Incarceration
I hold myself in disdain
I don't give a fuck
I've got nothing to hide
No one understands
A part of me has died
Utopia rejected on Earth that's hell
My mind is lonely, no different from a cell
My body is sick, which I can't leave behind
What will it take to medicate the mind
Exit the womb to a tomb
Can't adjust
Alone in my room
Depend on my departed friend
Not remembering
How long has it been
If there's one thing I've learned
Comfort cannot be found
Nowhere to grow
Nobody's fault but mine ...

The shipping accident
It was late evening when the captain of a Russian owner cargo came down from the bridge where he and the first mate had mapped the route from Humberside to Amsterdam. North Sea is always a busy seaway
In his cabin, lit a cigarette, sat down and opened his personal computer to send an email to his wife; he had a two-month vacation coming soon and said he missed her and loved her, if she came to Amsterdam, they could travel to Swiss
Then, an almighty shudder, he was thrown off his chair, hastily got up, ran up to the bridge, to his horror, his vessel...
