Using Ecclesiastes 12.5 To Interpret Genesis 1.9-13
I consider myself a Fundamentalist Christian.
There are 2 kinds: intelligent fundamentalist versus idiot fundie.
I am the former as opposed to the latter, i'd like to think.
One of the doctrines of Fundamentalism is that the Bible is to be taken literally
- when it is OBVIOUSLY meant to be so taken.
In other words, when some Bible passage ISN'T obviously literal,
there is no need for us to "force" it into that category.
It is actually against fundamentalism to take something as literal when it was never intended to be taken that way.
Take Genesis...

Millennial Mornings
Good morning millennials.
Hope all is well knowing damn well a quarter of y'all need bail from jail.
Rent pushing up good luck, I know half of y'all false upscale while three
quarters of y'all looking up from hell.
Hormones in food have you swole like Clydesdales but your parents
fridge is locked down without bail.
Widespread culture is dead.
Our generation so fed up wanting to buck our student loans cause the
government fucked up.
How do you charge $100k large to a brother with no job and cast him
to society?
Highway robbery, it's...

Morning
Dawn before the forest awakens
A witness to the birth of day
The mist rising from the trees
The moon asks the sun
Where is the light?
The sun enlightens her saying
The light is not yet born
The stars are only
Now beginning to rest.
In time the light will sift down
Floating like a raven feather
And flow as a hemlock needle
In a lazy stream listing along
Before feeling the force of gravity

Viva la morning sun
Midnight, dark night, no light, can’t go.
So dark, so quiet, so I guess the neighbour's are not home.
Waiting for sleep to arrive, but it never does on time.
Still waiting to permanently close my eyes;
But match sticks under baggy eye lids,
Will not show me the peaceful dreams I need to find.
Brain storms while outside it is silent.
Not a raindrop in the air.
Sun will rise shortly, as will the neighbours;
They all arise without a care.
I will hear their alarms and the beeping of their cars
And each and every door they all...

MORNING
I woke up greeting the one who greeted me on a special day when he was pleased when my existence came to be.
A new life full of immense beauty, since he created me in his image at no price.
This bestowed me value among his creation because he created me in his beautiful image.
His presence is so exhilarating! When I get up in the morning and open my eyes, joy fills my heart when praising his name.
Greeting you, the highest and most praise-worthy one.
The one who is worthy of our praise, admiration, worship, and adoration!
Your mighty, it pleases me to...

Finding time in Chester Park UK
The wrought iron gate closed
not locked but proof enough
against street cries and bustling bus
filtered noise, squeezing between the rails
loud enough to guide us back
should we wish.
Jack and me, my friend and I.
Few shared the gravel crunch
Its puddles and its mud,
unlike stone-clad paths outside
where one can rush, from shop to shop,
foot-fall-sure and level,
only pedestrian clash to spoil the day.
Listen !...eavesdrop on blackbird songs
see them love...

Untitled ruminations upon the cyclic nature of arriving and departing seasons
Summer is here, again
Is it the failings of memory, coupled with the repeat of routine, blurring together, that causes time to slip away, is it our natural predisposition to exist most potently in the present moment, or perhaps the ever changing nature of all things, manifest in this swift seeming passage of our lives and awareness through time
Perhaps it is time that passes through and over us, sands that shear away the smooth features to coarse lines, crags and pocks, the continual procession of hellos and goodbyes, good mornings and good nights, like waters, their...

The Chapman
Leaning a gate between
the wood and pasture,
more to think than rest.
- - - - - - - - - - - - - -
Slow clouds, heavy and grey
made their journey westward
a bad sign, cold tomorrow
you can bet your gloves on that,
four layers today, five tomorrow!
Every day, just me and Jack,
know each stick and rabbit hole;
miles from anywhere and mobiles.
Love the pines searching the sky
vaults random...

Llanrwyst Wales
Llanrwst on a sunny day,
beside the river Conwy,
pebble strewn and bubbling
beneath the narrow bridge.
A dog’s delight chasing swans.
Swim and drink your fill.
Shirt sleeve weather,
muddy paths from Monday rain,
walking shoes not sandals.
The drive across the hills to me was new,
hawthorns late, with pale green leaves
the ‘bread- and-cheese’ of child-hood,
eaten on the way to school.
Woolly sheep in hundreds, not a cow in sight,
do not mention mint...

Scammin' The Tramp(ler)
Don't you stomp such a plausible foot up'on mine.
You know it ain't right. Ye knows it isn't 'good'.
I've come from a place called NoPlace, (in the state of NoWhere), and
it's all fckn fine+dan'dy wit me, & therefore (it)
is "none of your business", as They Say
They say
