Kiss Me
kiss me-
no, not there
but on the
side of my neck
like you used
to do to turn
me on and tell
me you love me
even though
the years have
turned my hair white
and i've
a few wrinkles
here and there
kiss me-
and tell me
i am still sexy
even though
its been years
since we
last made love
i have kept
myself up for you
waiting for
this very moment
just to be
with you once more
no, not there
but on the
side of my neck
like you used
to do to turn
me on and tell
me you love me
even though
the years have
turned my hair white
and i've

The Mind Forgets, The Heart Remembers
Lifeless memories.
Ones that are dead yet linger.
With their haunted groan.
Ones that are dead yet linger.
With their haunted groan.

Regret
affliction dear please afford me this confession
assorted pain dances in my mind tormenting me
the ghosts of my children's childhoods
I see their baby faces
not enough food to sustain their grumbling bellies
they still visit me in my resting state
I see their young faces knowing I failed them
they haunt my existence I see threads wait more like nooses
troubling the present trying to hang them
none of my grown children want anything to do with each other
too many bad memories
still basically living in poverty ...

Crystal Web
over the years, I grew
dark & more demented
slowly transforming into
cold & calculated
I've been spinning a web
intricate and connecting
I've caught many items
that were meaningless, empty
then one day a spider
came trotting along
and he asked me if he
could weave me a song
so I bundled up my satin
into a cacoon
crystal web of safety
of solitude
a space free of clutter
no burdens, no mystery
it is here I sit now
with the truth, with clarity

Sucking Off my Past
Swore I'd never do this
Of course now I am
Found this pic while looking for something else
I remember it well
No camera phones back then
Good to see I was wearing all black
Prehistoric cool
Fast forward to now
Wait
Why bother
Ain't nothing now gonna match this pretty boy punk
Spread out some blow on a album cover
Grab a straight edge razor
Find a Bowie song on Spotify
Rock me all night long ...

El Greco!
Was not the name of this diner.
I don’t recall its name anymore.
It was torn down over twenty years ago.
Strangely-
given its prime real estate locale,
nothing has been built in its place.
What’s left are open space memories by those of us who frequented it in its hey day.
I remember its dark faux paneled walls. The fake Corinthian leather seats that made your thighs sweat in summer. Chipped linoleum table tops always sticky from who knows what.
If the cigarette smell didn’t offend you, the sour smell of drunken...

she used to look at me like she hated me
...my mother's mother...
wanted to erase my existence from her reality
mom always said it was all in my head
...that I was just being too sensitive
{I got that a lot growing up...}
until one holiday when I was 15
that woman sent a box of presents
lovely wrapped packages for mom & my sister
...complete with shimmery bows & pretty labels
each of them receiving warm fluffy robes
{they even had big pockets!}
...& matching slippers for them both ...

remembering back
i watched
that sunday,
i watched
her being
undressed,
there was
no objections
whatsoever
from her
this time,
she had
no choice
of it
happening,
and soon
she lay
in front
of me,
i saw
her breast
upward,
her legs
straight,
i would
be taking
her into
my mouth,
but i
had to
show patience
until she
was roasted
for dinner.

Random Ramblins #11 - 1980
1980; I remember John Lennon being shot,
My parents cried,
It was the first time I seen grownups cry;
It was a moment of confusion, and deep despair,
My dad pulled me aside, kneeling down, he talked to me;
I ask why everyone is sad, and crying,
For I never seen my parents, or my Tia’s and Tio’s cry before,
He said the world changed, the world is changing, now,
They had just shot someone very special, like in the movies,
And everything is different now,
With John gone, a dream is gone now too,
A movement and a vision for a more...

Childhood Daydreams
With the beginning of light
when my thoughts coalesced
my daydreams took flight
with many bright wishes
living between the desires
and the stark reality
loving the vivid imaginings
always zoning into the fictional world
surrealistic colourful scenes
drummed up by a lonely child
of dresses of a princess
cut out from the blue skies
visual arts with vibrant paints
on the doors to magical worlds
where all edibles were present
on many laden tables
laying down on a field
where...
