what’s in a color..
what’s in a color..
sooty opaque muddy or dim,
or
iridescence harmonious or prismatic blend!
what’s in a color..
hatred, violence or a ruthless sin,
or
a coworker, a neighbor or a best friend,
what’s in a color..
yellow touch light of senseless manikins,
or
a brother, sister, father or mother no kin,
what’s in a color..
systemic domination to rule another clan,
or
prisms of light to include every man,
what’s in a color.. ...

Blood Quantum
Despite my percentage
I'm classified White—
been so all my life
because I'm privileged
in a country where modern history
favors ivory pastels
of a monarchy
over the red-skinned origins
of its own country
I survived desegregation
in deep south Mississippi—
brutal fights
bathroom tiles splattered
with skin
—shards of teeth ...

For there will never cease to be poor in the land. Therefore I command you, ‘You shall open wide
your hand to your brother, to the needy and to the poor, in your land.’” (Deut. 15:11 ESV)

Closed Loop
When I arrived at Liza's backyard, the pig was already slaughtered. All fiesta events cancelled, I considered it feasible and sensible to buy the live pig, butcher it, take what we need and give the rest away. The setting is a little closed loop backyard farm. Taro, banana, cassava, are all growing wild, sparse under an extended dry season. These serve as food for the fatteners. In turn, the fatteners provide dense, nutritious meat for the village. Despite the masks and social distancing, it was like fiesta. People shared meat, cooked and ate. Liza has 5 children and 2 families living in her...

Things I Hate_003 (NaPo #19/30)
Every material must have a way to be created again,
Soil is made when animals die and when stones and other materials are withered into dust and then into terrain.
Most plants spread pollen through bees, butterflies, moths, wasps, and more,
Other animals mate, but then it gets rather obscure
And convoluted, complex, and confusing when it comes to humans.
Who's what gender? Who's what orientation? How many genders and orientations are there?
Does a deep bond of love, trust, and respect have to be formed before intercourse can take place? Some would disagree...

He’s Fine
Distant eyes, far in thought -
Tense, awaiting echoes to form themselves into tangible feelings and words.
A face, becoming wrought
With confliction and acceptance; addiction and repulsion.
Once, twice, mouth opening; inner turmoil festering like an ugly sore.
Focused eyes, hiding thoughts -
Nonchalant, cohesive sentences charging to defence.
A face; filled with arrogance and pride, not so quiet fearlessness draping fearful eyes.
Thrice, open mouth felling questions with a smirk and simple words:
"I'm fine" ...

3 Seeds - (lyrics)
Youths learn with emulating minds
Be the sound maestros of their lives
Teach them to express empathy, kindness and everything you know
Of humility and self-esteem; to one day reap the seeds you sow
Proud parents who express no love raise their children down so low
Once planted in an open heart
the seeds of hatred sprout then grow
Pride injects a hypnotic high,
enslaving egos in it's flow
Craving ever more, then crashing
from withdrawal addicts come to know
Three seeds of prejudice raise a misguided spirit down so low

Sex Drugs and Politics
The emancipation of a nation leads to sexual frustration now you have an obligation to increase your masturbation
You won't always have the time and you won't always have the patience
If you swallow all the lies you'll end up another patient
I'm sick of wanking myself to death, dreaming politics
Now i need a doctors hand to come untie my bollock twist
I'm so sick of being lied to and this country that I'm tired to is sick of being fucked up by the men that wear their ties blue
Sex, drugs and politics
Im obsessing over all of it

Buying the Election
What a hoax,
Wealthy politicians,
Winning votes to represent the poor,
How are any of them fools
Even close to a representative?
How can they possibly know what it really means to be the people who need representing?
I'll tell you exactly how:
Tell them what they want to hear to win the popular vote.
Be charismatic and charming in your woes.
Don't let your lack of authenticity show.
Tell them what they want to hear,
So your own ego grows.
Now that I'm on the topic,
It certainly doesn't have to be a rich...

Makers of Lies Hate Truth
Makers of lies hate truth, but I shall speak the truth even if it costs me my life.
Something is fundamentally wrong with the minds of world leaders.
Presidents, prime ministers, kings and queens, all politicians think alike.
They do not regard the people in worn-out clothes as their equals.
In fact, they do not even accept these persons as real men and women.
The lives of all human beings doubtlessly have the same worth.
Race, nationality, economic status, rank or religion, makes no difference at all.
The senseless warmongers...

Instigators Of Hate
You covet everything I have and you suppress my ability to achieve.
Selfishness and greed will certainly devour you.
I am the same human being as you are and I have the right to life.
Do I have to die so that you can stay alive and strive?
Are we not able to live among one another in peace and unity?
Is the world not big enough for you and me to live in simultaneously?
What trouble or inconvenience have I caused you?
You despise me so much and you are conspiring to kill me,
But you call out to me for help when your back is against the...

Life of a Pakistani Girl
She wakes to a sight never before seen
My
Her innocent eyes are new and clean
It seems like this world should be full of wonder
A scope provided by a caring father and mother
But the first of the blows came as a shock
Safety an amenity thoroughly blocked
As she soon learned to bow before her brothers
And any other man in the room for that matter
Do not entice, do not look at a boy
Do not reject one either
Acid or kerosine may deploy
If you get raped
You should have known better
Just ask...
