Holiday Melancholy
Lost in the maze
My mind is playing tricks on me again
Dwelling in the holiday melancholy of loss and estranged existences
Thoughts captive to cells comprised of gridlocked circumstances of financial and social obligations
Seasons greeting to overrated holidays of consumerist costs and missed cues of staged dances
Dried up wells of spent smiles waltzing in the fabrication of fraudulent romances
Can I fake like I’m living till I come alive
Haunted by outdated offenses and the lordship of affliction

Yuletide Sadness
Every year the winds get colder
Their screams cut like knives
Shadows follow my winter walks
Bitter voices carol the night
Dreams of days when the fire would warm me
You were there inside the flame
But you are gone and the years grow bitter
My soul is withered and wrapped with pain
Drifting in my fever there's sadness
Calling me to come back home
Ghosts that dance inside my head
Forever chill that haunts my bones
Dreams of nights where the world seemed alive
That there was time to catch my fall
But I am left with that...

There's a time of year we all await.
When everything is as white as a ceramic plate.
When there are snowflakes on the ground.
And under the tree, a present is found.
When everybody sings carols.

I’m disgruntled
enjoying today alone cup near full
Quick temper galore
I’m typically Mr. Freeze solo
during holidays
it's a dagger in the ice chest
that goes ignored
Intoxicated subzero don’t do toxic stupid shit
like suicide or murder
that’s poison ivy black rose debauchery
just one more dark problem
Life is perception some perceive demons
I make tea for mine

Mingle Hells
Jingle bells, the night prevails,
the skull full of vodka sways.
Through the snow the spirits flow
in a haze of holiday craze.
Silent nights with blurry sights.
Laughter echoes in the air.
Raise a toast to the ghost
of memories we all share.
Cheers to friends and to the ends
of bottles lined in a row.
In the glow let it show.
The warmth of hearts we know.
Jingle bells, the story tells
