Rejected
My heart and soul were
shattered
The moment you rejected me
As your mom
When you banned me from your life
My life changed forever.
I could no longer claim
That I was a good mother
Because who leaves a good mother behind?
Years have passed
And I know in my heart
That I was a good mom
But I was rejected anyway..
My heart is still healing
And my soul is still cracked
But I'm learning how to live
My life.
And I breathe through the pain.

The Weight of Leaving
It’s cruel, isn’t it?
Months.. years, maybe—spent stitching yourself whole
with trembling hands,
threading the needle of solitude
through the fabric of your own breaking heart.
You learn the taste of silence,
the weight of empty rooms,
the hum of a life unshared,
and you wear it like armor,
sharp at first, but soon a second skin.
And then they walk in.
Like sunlight through a boarded-up window,
uninvited, blinding,
a warmth you forgot you craved.
You didn't ask for this, a hand to hold,
a face to memorize...
Months.. years, maybe—spent stitching yourself whole

I found you shivering in the dark,
A wounded thing, a dying spark.
I wrapped my hands around your flame,
Whispered love, and took your name.
You call it torment; I call it grace,
To leave my mark on every space.
You begged for peace; I gave you fire.

You wear the night like a second skin,
A fragile truth I can’t begin.
You took my name, you took my face,
And left me drowning in your grace.
I see you now, the lie, the cage,
The twisted love, the boundless rage.

Tears still fall

The future was too far away

Naked Emotion
As I lay here naked on the foor, I think back to what we were. We were fun, we were free, we couldn't keep our hands to ourself.
Now I am broken by your tongue. Your words stab deeper than seraded blades. I just wanted to please you. What we had was great. Now it's gone. I am the fool I know. I gave you all that was me. You consumed.
I have no more to give. Your greedy paws your greedy jaws...you put me on a pedistool..only to point at my flaws. Im shamed, broken and alone. I was just a game, a passtime, a plaything. You made me a mockery. Now here I lay in puddled...

Calloused
Forever feeling pain
Hidden death of falling stars
Lost trust somewhere in stabbing rain
Nursing scars of a hurting heart
Truth lies within goodbyes
Decisions always ruminate to roam
Didn't recognize the cries from inside
Eternally cursed to feel alone?
Fade into moonlight and dust
Swept away in floods of delusional love
Heart's been left to fade in rust

Callous feelings care no more
Protected perfectly by
A cast iron cage with no door

The Moment I Knew
I kept seeing that purple dinosaur ride, its teeth seething.
And then, it came- this constant thumping noise that I heard outside of my mind. From the time I had forgotten about- me humping that Scooby Doo pillow-thing.
And somehow, in that moment, I thought I knew.
That my father may have sexually abused me.
And then, the biggest scream erupted from me outside that abuse shelter, in that backyard playground, where innocence was supposed to be.
Two female facilitators came, and as I saw them, I ran to the gazebo, in the very back of the outside area as if though I was...

Angels looked at you with envy
God's masterpiece personified
We had time on our side
Living free without a care
No future to think and plan for
No burdens to bare
I held you in the cool autumn nights
Sitting in the back of my truck
Wondering what I did
To deserve such luck
We danced through golden fields
Barefoot we waded in the creek
Both waiting for the other
To say how we truly felt
But time betrayed us ...
