hopeful
the outlandish keeps calling upon me
the corrupt thoughts of a natural witch
not sure of my calling
restless spirits are drawn to me
with the knowledge I can hear them
sweet is the treasure of wisdom
turning the pages while I fine-tune
memories are stirred
Sage advice is given
my hopes are rising
skyward I spy some clouds
their formations are dreamy
they could be anything
my flowers are cheerful
and my trees are steadfast
they stay out of the gossip
unless the little black birds come by
and...

I have always believed in fairies
And now there really was one
Sitting on a water lily at the pond
Windblown and disheveled her hair
Crumpled her delicate iridescent wings
Last night's storm must have thrown
The poor little fairy off course
Big Emerald eyes look at me sadly
Intending to bring her some fruits

the other smiled to herself coddling her hopes to her chest
dreaming in jasmine and heather
flying on a gossmer wing and not really bothered where she land
floating on a Northern wind her mind abuzz with thought
she thought to seduce a human
her merry meet was very special she had never joined souls
so considering this man was a surprise
tumbling along she land in some pete moss
her suitor just over the glade
his shiny demeanor made her beam
such a beauty to behold
kind and intelligent
highly regarded in the forrest...
