The voice in My Head
today the voice in my head told me to jump
it told me to walk up those stairs
open that door
step towards that ledge
it told me to climb over
to sit and watch the ground below
today I tried to fight the voice in my head
I told it to go away
I kicked and yelled and screamed
until that voice left my head
and turned into shadow
who's hands pressed to my back
until I went falling
no safety net to catch me
today the voice in my head
pushed me to my breaking point
and down I went
no second to take back...
it told me to walk up those stairs
open that door
step towards that ledge
it told me to climb over
to sit and watch the ground below
today I tried to fight the voice in my head
I told it to go away
I kicked and yelled and screamed
until that voice left my head
and turned into shadow
who's hands pressed to my back
