Psychotic Monopoly
Pain resides on the head of a pin
Stifled with this cruel anticipation
While torment pierces fragile skin
The mind has a sudden revelation
What was lost becomes apparent
Once untrained eyes learn to see
These lies slowly turn transparent
Allowing truth to finally break free
Doublespeak is now the standard
Hiding intentions behind a smile
Comply or prepare to be slandered
Robber-barons are growing hostile
The game of life is perpetual force
Feeding this psychotic monopoly

full disclosure
guileled freedom in plaid
indignation wrenches the reigns away
saying time for a change
full disclosure empties its thoughts
vomiting dignity then watches as it dies a slow death
I swing wide I'm not going out that way
dressed in black
darkness cloaks me,
rises all around me
climbing the ranks of the highest principalities
justice will be done
insecure governments
who's driving this car?
the politics of the day says the hour is late
fear takes control intimidating me
a bully shows me my death ...

The kick of equality
across a continent
and a dose of
What. The. Fuck
does not match
the Q&A quiz
I took at 18
when I could finally vote
"What can you not stand, Tammy?"
"Hypocrisy."
Yet -
here it is—mangy hair
matted to the scalp,
shoveling the ground
to bury bones of truth
every passing moment
Its lids barely hang
by the teeth of its skin
blocking its eyesight
to democracy
dragging all that weight
killing off the last...

Executive Fever
Marked safe from tears when shitty bosses die
I think of the long stingy road to this,
where estimation will not even try
to have no obligation go amiss
in a republic of the free and brave;
free, that is, to accumulate more debt,
as less and less we can keep from the grave,
unless lotteries are a winning bet.
Yet in this mess they say the boss is right
and that the private jet and private yacht
are not somehow an ecologic blight
where at least the Orcas have not been bought
and know damn well that they can't trust a boat ...

demo crew on standby
grandpa was a master builder
building with an eye for expansion
for growth & adaptation
to support many generations
none of those short-sighted greed-blinded mansions
20 rooms for one dude
he was a man for every season
& I paid attention
as current events expose a rotten foundation
I'm reminded of his philosophy
when the integrity of a structure
is no longer sound
tear it down
don't leave it standing
causing further dangers
pay attention to the issues

construct it...

We Are Our Own Creation
I’m standing at the ground level of existence
Looking around at the ridges and mounds of persistence
The erosion of my depression has terra formed the mounts
I attempt to climb the levels between needs and wants
Each level is sow with a different version of my pain
From row to row I choose to reap me again and again
Calluses built, nails broken, as I climb between levels
At the base, life wasn’t acknowledged as I lied with the devil
But he had no use for humans and he screamed, “fuck earth”
Hahaha, he pissed on nothing, and asked me...

The elephants
Elephants are huge
they cast giant shadows
have wide flat round feet
and lots of love for the trunk.
Elephants are annoying
with their bodies
stunning
the soft memories
of stupid children's faces.
Elephants know
many and diverse people
which if it's not a friend
must be a far relative.
Such lonely animals
take up lots of space
but they can't hide
because they don't fit
in the closets.
They mess with everything and everyone
want to be part of history
but they get lost in...
