Massive Layoffs and Record Profits
Bob got a retail job at 23
wasn’t perfect
but he was content
till 2020 came around
the whole world was in a panic
he buckled down and did his part
everyone called him a hero
it made him feel good
little did he know
behind the scenes big business was plotting
2021 came and went
and so did his holiday pay
yearly raise, and benefits
the workload became 10x
when he asked when they’ll hire
they just replied “no one wants to work”
he began to have medical problems
and his bills were piling up
he wanted to...

Never Selling My Soul
Money isn't a terrible motivator for me. Greed isn't one of my deadly sins.
I merely see money as a means to an end and nothing more. I don't believe it truly makes anyone more important or significant. It's a way to survive in this world I never liked. That's it.
Navigating the need to make money while staying true to myself is surely a slippery slope.
Because I don't want to slide in the lava that looked like water.
