Mothballs
Cocooned between the rainbow twilight
And the rising moon
The metamorphosis failed
No butterflies emerged
A moth instead
Beautiful in its way
Lover of the dark
Slave to the flame
Death mask upon its wings
The horror
The corporate mothballs
Dropped in the night
They prayed to Uranus
