Young housewives—dark thrills inspire them;
but, when pressed for action doth feign
virtue against a parish man,
while bedding a more nobler Cane.
Ye husbands! heed this chronicle!
When deceit doth snake full circle
seeking to utterly deceive,
truth can be too hard to believe.
The poor husband, an innocent,
reputable among town folk,
unwittingly becomes a joke
in the sinner's moral dissent!
The husband prays for a godsend;

Such a petty argument and now I can’t see your face
With your back turned our bed is now filled with freezing time and space

The sea is like listening
a butterfly fluttering
its wings in the dark.
Why don't they open
the windows wide?
If they already know so well
who else can fly!
The tidal wave just came
long after
someone confessed
to the walls.
The tidal wave lasted
so little
compared to
as long as it could
last a tidal wave.
Like butterflies without wings
there are women
who fake orgasms
and men
who pretend whole lives...

Oh what drab, colorless roils drape the sky
As the sky, ashen, grey faced the sun
Clouds billowing
Spread out as tho' to compass all
The sun, the moon, and stars do hide
Those lamps of heavens reaffirming light
Tho' not darkest all -
Not as dark as familiar men's souls
Now conspiracy and conceit do creep
As knavery, treachery, like the worm doth crawl
Burrowing archly in soft rot
Not as men who on stout legs stand
Thin voices hiss the birthing of death
So discourse this discordant band
Full of hubris and cold...
