Positivitly Blind Chasing Ghosts
there’s no
finishing line
up ahead
The road
is never ending
with teeth bared
the hounds are chasing
In the distance
there’s a storm
and a burning bridge
just another obstacle
i find in my way
how do I say
goodbye
to the doubts
hhey have become
old friends
each whisper
has me second guessing
every step
i make towards
a happy ending
so my actions
end up being
worthless
who’s gonna
catch my fall
who thinks
I’m worthy...

it feels like...
It's the dry grass crackle
under bare feet
in the middle of summer
It's lightning cracking
on an empty horizon
lighting up the world
It's the tap tap tap of rain
on an unseen window
on a gloomy day
It's the smell of rot
when the storm stays too long
and the weeds bloom as the grass dies
It's the feeling of my fingernails
worrying a scab on my arm
that I refuse to let heal
It's eyes closed against
the beauty of today because
the ugly tells me I don't deserve it

doldrums
gracious greed in a depressive state
stare at the emptiness, its impressive
seeking solace inside the sorrow
I regress myself to see what has me down
down deep I hate myself, I think
I try to change but it does no good
who am I fooling really/
a counterfeit me who's going to buy that
it doesn't work
so I am stuck here feeling moody
it's where I'm comfortable, in the deep end
sorrow is my friend
she never lets me down
I'm on good speaking terms with my negativity
it is second nature
I can pretend I'm...

To Be Wanted
To Be Wanted
No one wants
to be
the consolation prize,
not to be
the one
in her eyes,
not to have
that central
core space,
the reason
the moonlight
wakes up on her face.
The boxes
she keeps
in her underwear drawer
are filled
with the letters
of dreams of still more.
And every sad look
of having
just settled
reminds
of fourth place,
not even medaled.

apathy
i have not
been buried
but i am
suffocating
i am silent
but the shadow
that used
to hear my scream
has gone away
he was the
only thing
in my words,
but the present
is passing
without him
the one
who used to
explain things
to me when
i was upset,
now doesn't
even think
of talking to me...

Up For Air
Life, my life, in general,
rippled daze and blurriness;
a view I’d experienced
more times than I’ll admit.
Life becomes surreal,
without form or feel,
while prone or kneel'd,
drowning in a vat,
a wooden sake 酒 vessel
of addiction to. . .
escape.
After a couple of times,
times one-hundred,
when dehydration
sledge hammers me
back
to a sober reality,
I’m up for air;
my head just above
the liquid line of
my self destruction.
And though in pain,
life appears clearer.

The Narcissist Victim - "Hollow Echo / Nothing"
stop. / no, wait— rewind. // it didn’t— happen— like that. / did it?
(no, you’re just sensitive.) / (I didn’t mean it like that.)
(but you said—) / but you said— / but—
… no, never mind. forget it. I’m sorry. I’m sorry. I’m—
(erase.)
I swear I used to have a voice. // a shape. a name.
but you pressed your hands into my skull, // said, No, you’re remembering wrong.
said, I love you. Don’t you trust me? / (the knife is in my hands now.)
I— / I don’t know anymore. / I—
(you don’t know anymore.)
(again.)

Every Day's Strangeness
A strangeness resides
in all the day’s hours
every day it dances
in the periphery of our eyes
a stranger’s sunny smile
a brief glance
a world of something
unfolds reaching out
there are connections
in fingers touching
giving or taking the change
from a serial killer or a saint
the raindrops that fall on dark streets
the lonely man under the umbrella
may think of a warm hearth
or perhaps an impending death
there are strangeness
in everyday places
the bark of a dog
about to...

The 'day before yesterday'
Wed, Jul 21
I normally hate decision making days.. When bad things are destined to happen..
On this date..
This death..
I'll remember till my last breathe..
It'll cost me 60 days to eat the dates by sunset..
Here I got subject with so many predicates
When did I write this?..
We only have 'today', 'tomorrow', and 'yesterday'..
But I have another day
So disturbed..
Consciously defaulted..
His name? I asked..
Who? They asked me in return..
The boy. He had a name..
I replied

Tame
The whipping wind
is a clamorous opposition
of the soft seducing breeze.
We are just trying to contain peace
in our hearts
in a brutal world.
Amongst humans hideous actions,
there are beautiful motiveless gestures.
Like thorns on a rose,
The ignorant
polish their own lives.
Along the path of apathy,
can be found great empathy.
Can the gentle tame the harsh?
and then -
I feel it.
The delightful breeze prevails.
The vehemence of the wind fled.
I walk forth......
