Drunken Rant (Clarity in Vino)
The world simmers on the brink,
1984, Thought Police, Doublethink.
A world at war, peer into the void,
Suffocate the love, embrace fear, drown the joy.
Ya…hey.. put me on the spot… not a bother,
Look… the world is weird,
It’s… I don’t even know what it is..
For me, it’s… I dunno, I don’t know,
Seems dangerous to give your opinions these days.
Ya, I .. I’ve no even…like…. words prepared here,

Ah, the world to me at the minute,

Mixing Substances
How not to drink – I learn the trick too slow -
acerbation, and too confrontation,
forgetfulness of grand dispensation,
mistakes against the host, the first to sow.
I take a toxic mixture, which makes grow
deluded speech (like hallucination)
whilst others speak words from lucubration,
I think it makes the wrong impression, though.
Perhaps requirements of a certain faith
require, for me, I don’t see dragon wraith
following toques more akin to hot knives
but have a little cracker, cheese and chives.
I’ve had some weed today to...

A Day in the Life
Depot of Haloperidol today
and chitchat session with a Mental Nurse.
I promise you I would not wish this curse
on any living person, come what may.
Some music, snooze, a snack, some small delay,
self-medicate on five percent or worse,
with that let’s try and cut the story terse;
I want the mind to function, not decay.
Haste, here come memories of all my sins!
Can I make recompense before begins
The Lord to count, The Devil slyly claim,
the latter stating me not him to blame?
Would any good, the bad intent outweigh?

Sitting here, contemplating my moves,
I'm slowly getting into the groove.
Drinking Moët to help me forget,
A lifetime's mistakes, the things I regret!
Should I push fate and empty the glass,
Swallow the grape or sit on my ass?
It doesn't dissolve the pain that I feel -
Burried deep thoughts wanting to heal.
Now...
I'm one glass away from reality's door,
One pulse away, that tempting last pour.
A heartbeat removed from meeting the floor -
Yet it doesn't relieve this random ache.
I made a choice,...

Remember back in the late 1980's, early 1990's when every rap artist & metal band were getting a warning label on their album?
The PMRC (Parents Music Resource Center) led by Tipper Gore was a force to be reckoned with at that time
They literally tried to censor art with placing a Parental Advisory Sticker on anything they deemed offensive
Those jackasses thought everything from John Denver to Twisted Sister was immoral.
Guess what happened?
It backfired right in their face!
Kids were curious and began purchasing all the so called naughty and raunchy albums...

Novice Supplication
It used to be the case, that come what may,
a vodka coke at six, to start the day.
It doesn’t take a seer or genius
to figure out descent that followed this.
The alcohol, a habit I now shun
then others which I used to count as fun
I’ve cast aside for better or for worse –
one thing for sure – this doesn’t hurt my purse.
But it is traits of mind I need to change
if I with honesty wish rearrange
this mind that’s me, this personality,
that is the cause of its own fallacy.
Grant me the strength to see where I’ve gone wrong,
humility...
