f**k It
I look in the mirror
Where did life go?
Passing by like a hurricane
Blowing out my windows
The lines around my eyes
Speak stories I cannot hide
The memories I’ve forgotten
And my innocence that died
I wonder what will become
Of this life I lead
All these desires fluttering
Inside of me
Maybe I should play it safe
Calm down and chill
Spend today
Not planning my next thrill
Who am I kidding, my wicked smile
Always gives me away
Fuck it
Tomorrow’s another day
Where did life go?
Passing by like a hurricane
Blowing out my windows
The lines around my eyes
Speak stories I cannot hide
The memories I’ve forgotten
And my innocence that died
I wonder what will become
Of this life I lead
All these desires fluttering
Inside of me
Maybe I should play it safe
Calm down and chill
Spend today
Not planning my next thrill
Who am I kidding, my wicked smile
Always gives me away
Fuck it
Tomorrow’s another day

Minutes & Seconds Are Passing Us By
My one wish is to stop the hands of an enemy we call time
Time will age
Time will heal
Time will drag
Time will kill
No one has any idea what will happen in the next second, but only time will tell

I AM STILL LEARNING
DISCOVERY
I use to think
I knew it all until
someone asked
me a question.
When I swaggered down
the steps of the university
with my BA in my hand,
the world said, "Sit down
and I'll teach you the
rest of the alphabet."
WAKE-UP
It has been a wonderful
journey since the day
I realized how wonderful
it is to be a continual
learner in the never
ending School of Life.
I'm still learning to live
every day admiring the
beauty in the garden
of life where I have been...

the color of dreams
kaleidoscope dreams lie
they color my dreams hopeful
in patterns and shapes that delight
they soothe me in my twilight hours
then I awaken to gray
gone are the azure blues of the oceans I love
that I will probably never live near
and the greens of the forests that feed my soul
that I've not visited or seen in fifteen years
the colorless flavor of my world is depressing
I live in the country it's beautiful and quiet
it can also be lonely
my passions are red hot while sleeping
then I wake to a bed...

WHEN YOU HAVE SOMETHING
They say when you have something else, that you've never had before. DUE to the fact that there was no real commitment, and consistency of honesty and truth and trust. But yet you were willing to give it a chance, just to see how much of the words hold TRUTH. 🤨 FOR it's true what they say, knowone is sent to you by chance 💕 or accident 😞 FOR it is the cycle of life. Yet soon you will find out the truth, when we encounter someone, who doesn't have the ability to understand, the true meaning of real communications. Between a woman and man or man to woman who is going...

A Mangled Mind
The night seized prisoners of sleep.
Even those with the mangled minds.
Put to slumber the mutilated memories.
Their persistence will be sure to further torture me.
The dark enveloped and swallowed her yearn to weep.
There is ecstasy of quiet
after her disillusioned screams
I wish her bed was a prison of a cocoon.
To metamorphosis back in time.
To the days she had a healthy mind.
Those days are gone, vanished, never to return.
But the candle of my love for her continues it's fight to burn.

But the candle of my love for her continues it's fight to burn.

Blame it on Age
Choose your words wisely
I’ve heard more times
than can count
Yet, each one we choose
equals one less sound
we’ll ever make
We are wells
running out of ink
or quills
whose tip frays
There’s only so much
it can write
and so much less
we’ll ever speak
Choose your words wisely
For they may be your last

Retrogenesis
She taught me not to fear death
It’s just part of living
Now every time that I go and visit her
My soul hurts and heart sinks
She’s waiting to cross that bridge
Gone are the stories she used to tell
As far back as 1936
All the great details she could recall
Are now but soft flashbacks of mystery
I kiss her cheeks and forehead
Her smile and childlike eyes know who I am
The skin on her hands is paper thin
Soft and warm under blankets
Fighting the impending cold and darkness
An internal silent battle is raging ...

Retiring Minds
Trump's a freak for speed, like his Nazi muse,
and mien apples plummet close to the plan
whereby injustice lights a public fuse
to stroke the puny ego of a man
willing to extinguish millions of lives
in the service of nostalgic notions
cherry picked from the dubious archives
of baby-boom perma-fry devotions
who wouldn't trust people over thirty
when they were protesting a war
the establishment made down and dirty
like a coked-up big business Wall Street whore.
The decades didn't alter morality
as much as...

huff & puff...& pass out
he put trick candles on my cake
brought it out...singing wildly off key
grinning with childlike glee
{it's his way...}
I had my suspicions
but kept them to myself
& played along
giving it one good long blow
getting them all out in a single puff
& watched with sadness
as his face creased into a mask of guilt
when I erupted into a spate of vicious coughing
{par for the course...
it was to be expected}
his profuse apologies muffled by their volume
I shook my head fiercely & waved it off ...
