Hopeless Romantic
I saw her through the window
My heart began to race
But I was too prudish to let her know
That I felt such a rush
So I wrote this poem
Hoping she may feel the same
That she'd know my hidden feelings
And realize they're not in vain
My love for her grows strong
But I stay behind the wall
Afraid to express my feelings
Lest I seem too forward and gall
But I hope with this poem
She'll understand my true intent
That my love for her is real
And I'm trying to be decent
So if you ever read this ...

Cupid Smiled
Cupid smiled as he drew back his bow,
he felt the weight of the string on his fingers
and a stirring in his soul.
He wept for the target for which his arrow
was intended,
for he knew that once it pierced their heart
that it could not be mended.
So with a sigh he let it go, and the arrow
it did fly,
and as the arrow pierced his chest,
an angel caught his eye.
With a broken halo and tattered wings
the angel did pretend, to love his empty,
hollow soul, and always be his friend,
but soon the angel bared her teeth ...

Valentine's Day
It's a special day of
love, and it's a day to
be with your loved
ones.
But, many don't have
their loved ones with
them anymore, due to
death, heartbreaks and
separation.
No one should be left
alone on a day like this,
for some it's very depressing
and a lonely place to be.
You just feel like you
don't exist for someone
to give a fuck! It's so hard
to deal with.
If they don't care about you,
they deserve what comes
to them. It's ok to let your
emotions out, like you ...
love, and it's a day to
be with your loved
ones.

Valentine's Day is the day
where you try to please

beer sonnet
Beer Sonnet
I have a bottle of German beer in the fridge
and naturally cloudy, first brewed in some small town
in Bavaria in 1624.
They didn’t make the beer clear and decided to call
the brew Dunkel (cloudy), PR, yes it existed it worked
now it is a world-famous beer.
It also cost a bit more, which never fails to attract snobs.
I opened the beer dislike the colour me, a Budweiser man
of the type brewed in the USA
A band of clouds was, obscuring the sunset it was Dunkel
a sentence not spoken but sensed even a child could get.

“But if you will, pour some out first. I like my coffee well milked.”
“That is a funny way of putting it. But I don’t mind.”
“Very nice. Are there any perks to the usual Barista girl services here?”
“I can’t imagine what you mean. Actually, I can but prefer not to.”
“Well let me jog your imagination. Would you be so kind as to leave a lipstick print on my cup? I will compensate you with a generous tip.”

What makes this a Valentine’s Day
When the doves have flown away?
The dust of dawn is between our eyes—
In the ragged light of sunrise
Our hands interweave with the flow:
Of oceans they held, so long ago.
We will run to the black palace door,
And confess our minds are not ours anymore.
And if anything is still left of we
We will take wings where our hearts used to be,
As if flying could send us to dreams
Of all that is more than it seems.
We may weep, but also may sing
For all the tales of suffering,
