In the Face of Falsities
I fought through hell and brimstone to get back to him, and not only did my love go to waste, I lost something I can never replace. But that wasn’t love, it was obsession. That three and a half years was an attempt to reclaim the woman I thought I was so I could be desirable to the man from my past, the man whose twinkling brown eyes were my salvation during his absence and the man who said he told his mother he was going to marry me even though I have no recollection of his love for me. I compromised my values, I changed the essence of who I was for a man who I thought I still loved because...

Giving thanks this holiday season
Some of you knew
Others didn’t
In early January 2024
I was diagnosed with having a/fib
Atrial Fibrillation
How could that be ?
I never felt the symptoms particularly
Yet it was
Blood thinners immediately prescribed
Other heart drugs too
Then
Complications from drugs
More doctors
Lots of tests
Terrible interrupted sleep
Peeing like no tomorrow
Then
I started to listen to my doctors
Also to myself
Decisions to be...
Some of you knew
Others didn’t

Deja vu
speaking visions into being
I see them so I tell you freely
altered reality bends destiny
wrapping fate in its wings
Deja vu, do you remember me?
sulking in the shadows waiting to be free
I call the dawn and my children with her
walking through the shade of the moon
a Goddess, a rite, a ritual
under a spell you are beckoned now come forth
turning through time, eons untold
I am among you
here are the keys to the universes
let's walk in the sun-night of a new era
birthed of an immortal lineage ...

We all got a story to tell
Through this life we all have gone through somethings, that will affect us in ways that we have to learn, to understand how to navigate through the process of rebuilding our lives. TRAVELING THE ROAD OF LOVE
When I first started on
the road to love I thought
the journey would be easy:
"Two hearts in FULL agreement."
NOT SO!
The road to love is paved
with ruts, potholes, and detours.
It is not a one-way, super highway
with no detours, it is not all
beautiful landscape; there
are back roads. From time to time
you stop to have a picnic in a
beautiful meadow or roadside park;
you run behind in arriving at
your destination and wonder is
the trouble worth it; your dreams
and wishes on the road to love
aren't...

willful amnesia
how honest are we with ourselves
when the night howls
& memory lies behind our eyes
is it the heart & it's infinite capacity to forget
gaslighting us into believing we must have...
...what we desire
as if that worked out so well the last time
& truth is...
reality tastes better dipped in arsenic
going down...at any rate
it's the gut clawing crawl to the end that reminds us
too late to kick ourselves
or renege on the deal we made
to appease our desperate need
to cave...giving in
...like a...

Soul Hour Power
Blown beyond summer's triangle stars
The clouds made way for the setting moon
And the campfire wood that newly chars
By way of kindling combustion tune
Gently applying to overwhelmed ears
A sound thrice sacred to my lunacy
And for which I provide three silent cheers
To emphasize an importunacy
Beseeching that maintenance of repose
Best lit by moonbeams and firelight
And whichever way the starlight glows
All through the middle of a summer night
Whose hours reestablish a soul
As less traffic helps with traffic control.

Returning on a jet plane...
(Paul Harvey used to give "...the rest of the story" on the radio. The same radio played songs that gave us a glimpse into song character's lives but are never revisited! Even worse when the singer dies! I hated that! One of the songs I always felt needed an ending was...John Denver's: "Leaving on a jet plane." So, I present...Returning on a jet plane. Dedicated to the late John Denver.

The year of twenty twenty-four is near
and with it comes a hope for better days.
A time to heal the wounds of yesteryear
and face the future in a brighter gaze
But what will be the challenges ahead?
What trials and tribulations will we face?
Will we be able to overcome the dread
that lingers from the past and leaves a trace?
In nineteen twenty-four, a year of change.
Two men of different fates and different lands:
One breathed his last, the other saw the light
one left a legacy, the other began his fight.

and with it comes a hope for better days.
