My Chosen Valentine
Protecting ourselves
is the natural response
to a Universe of experience:
stories we don’t tell—
scars we won’t reveal
hidden vulnerabilities
Choose Love anyway;
it purges negativity—
not that of a judge or critic
taking offense at storms
blowing back in their face;
but, from your own heart
Empty your innermost coffers
as a gift to others—
then refill for yourself
Balance is the footpath
of Universal Love
