A year's gone by
Almost a year’s gone by
and I am yet,
against my will,
a shaken reed,
un-stilled
and ever drained,
and drear,
a hollowed thing,
laid sere and grieved and low
by unrelenting need.
I thought that I was stronger
for my years,
and that by now
I’d know relief
from emptiness
and grief
that’s centered in the loss of you..
But this, I see,
is such
a self-deceiving lie.
and I am yet,

Killing Democracy
An attempted Coup
Unconscionable mishandling of the nation’s secrets.
Conspiracies fuelled by lies and misinformation
Obstruct, excuse, condone
Violating of oaths of office
Violating oaths to uphold the constitution and the nation’s laws
One man at the centre
Each Republican, pundit, sycophant that
Defend
Excuses
Obstructs
Lies
Promotes baseless conspiracies
Deflects
Denies
Is complicit
Stabbing at the heart of democracy
Anything less than outright repudiation of indefensible conduct ...

Madame Guillotine...
Culling condemned folk can cause lots of stress
to executors though, they have great tools,
let Madame guillotine end their distress
Of gas, needles, Ol' Sparky, cooking flesh
all that stuff merely entertains the ghouls,
culling condemned folk can cause lots of stress .
It will end all their doubts no need to guess
dosage, or amps, proof against lib'ral fools,
let Madame Guillotine end their distress.
There's just time for a Priest's hurried "...od bless "
and blades...
to executors though, they have great tools,

Kiss That Ring
what is it I really want?
confused and frustrated
over the fake shit
add that with lack of compassion
your sex and drugs
might make you all numb
but y'all sure ain't human
cold machines standing by
in the ugliest of times
they silence your voice
for one day they can take what’s yours
and what’s mine
fight for the right!!
like you know what that means
it’s the little things
oh yes, the little things
you hand them away
from promises made
so eagerly, so foolishly ...
confused and frustrated
