The Kryptonite

Give me a match
to light my fire
shine it on path
that leads winding
towards dying streams
in minds of silver
far away in horizons yet unseen

To seek her the gilded lily
Adorning lotus leaves
On a rippling pond of gold
Push forth in her beauty
Half the princess knight
Ethereal in her splendour
Watching butterflies dance

In her garden of old
She walks again
To tell tales of dreams
Of life lived and again
death intertwined with living
and again traversing the earth
A woman, a prince

My companion of old,
my prince, my knighted lady
would that you hear my plea
would that you hear my song
Through sunny meadows
Icicled echoing caverns
The chase begins again.
