Lesbian hair

I cut my locks for college,
cut them all away.
I trimmed my fringe for school,
and looked like a lesbian on Induction day.

My teacher thought me mental,
my friends all called me queer.
I wish I hadn't cut my hair.
I do look sort of queer.

I cut my locks for college,
to try to look my best.
I tidied up my chestnut mess,
and even wore a fucking vest.

"I look a total prick, mum"
I mutter in protest.
She thinks that I look studious.
I miss my chestnut mess.
