Thirst
I'll quench my long, longing thirst,
and so I'll drink to the bottom of the glass.
And so I dip my lips in first,
to savor the water and its mass.
And indeed, when I am ready,
slowly I will open wide my mouth.
Though I wish to be steady,
my spirit, he's laying south.
I'll drink to the bottom of the glass,
to quench my long, longing thirst.
As now a moment then went pass,
be damned, the glass, it fell, burst.
Though ashed it's lost forever,
I quenched my thirst at last.
I'll weep a moment, never,
lets dwell not in the past.
and so I'll drink to the bottom of the glass.
And so I dip my lips in first,
to savor the water and its mass.
And indeed, when I am ready,
slowly I will open wide my mouth.
Though I wish to be steady,
my spirit, he's laying south.
I'll drink to the bottom of the glass,
to quench my long, longing thirst.
As now a moment then went pass,
be damned, the glass, it fell, burst.
Though ashed it's lost forever,
I quenched my thirst at last.
I'll weep a moment, never,
lets dwell not in the past.
