Give it up to me!

Give it up to me

Forget about lessons
For here come the seasons,
The noisy boys
Won’t be a nuisance this year

I, I’m a chiming bell, outside your house

And when you try to sleep tonight,
I know, you’ll come to your window,
Fall off the ledge,
And he’ll catch you in his arms (open wide)
He’ll march you to your death,
And I’ll run off
Cos’ I’m not, no I’m no scarecrow

CHORUS
Aint it the funny how the world seemed so boring,
Until I came along,
And aint it lovely how
I wrote you into a song
After everything, I’ve watched you cruise through,
Funny that you’d lose your mind

To
; me

Remember each and every tree
The way they formed with splinters and leaves
And toy soldiers,
We’d bury beneath them

We, we could care, but we didn’t have a hope in hell, to grow a heart in winters, conditions, (it’s all in persistence they said)

And when you try to sleep tonight
You know I’m not the silent type,
You’ll come to the window,
Slide off the windowsill
And he’ll catch you in his arms, (open wide)
He’ll love you to death
And I’ll run off and hide

Cos’ you know, no, you know I am not a scarecrow

CHORUS
Aint it the funny how the world seemed so boring,
Until I came along,
And aint it lovely how
I wrote you into a song
After everything, I’ve watched you cruise through,
Funny that you’d lose your mind

To
;me

Forget about lesions,
You cannot see them,
You can only feel my cold hands
Wrapped around your face
Tryna steady your neck
And restore some of your breathe
Dearest, I’m not trying to claim I’m destined

To own you…..
Just wish I could clone you

Aint it the funny how the world seemed so boring,
But then I came along,
And someone lovely
wrote you into a song
After everything, I’ve watched you cruise through,
Funny that you’d lose your mind

To me,
As I lost mine to you
