Bled from my eyes

Trickles down softly
The pain welled inside
Leaves my snow pale body
As the charcoal eyeliner
Travels down both of my cheeks
And clumps my mascara
Eyelashes turn prickly
The under eye circles
Darken completely
To think the reason for my pain
Brings on the tear drops more quickly
And the warmth of the fear
The taste yet so salty
My lips chapped and parched
My hair dark and frizzy
My nails chewed down
To the point that they’re bleeding
My ears so blocked up
To the point that they’re ringing
The feeling so cold
To the point that I’m shaking
The heart once of gold
Is now ice that is melting
The feeling of failure
Just so overwhelming
The redness that rests on my cheekbones
Just won’t quit swelling
The self developed hatred
Feeling so weak and so lonely
When I’m left to fend for myself
With a heart that’s half broken
The rhythm of the river
Leaves both my lungs gasping
Someone please get me some air
I feel like I’m suffocating
I bury my head I my pillow
Till the point that it’s drenched
And I’m breathing in water
Only to cry out again
So I’ll cry until my eyes dry up
And I’m back to pretending
That I haven’t been getting hit
With the sticks shorter end
