Image for the poem the Queen of Arts

the Queen of Arts

she traded her broken halo for a crown

when all the kings men came tumbling down

they creeped and crowded at her feet

but none of them did she beseech

they only begged her pretty things

but not her holy, like her king

the only one she would courtsy for

all of her virtues he adored

others wanted her crumbling at her core

and at their mercies crawling on the floor

but a king dare not soil her lofty spirit

only lift it up to revere it

for she is his woman, his queen

and she encompass everything

right next to him she will always reside

she was carved and crafted  from his side

she paints his world in sunrise

his fortress lies within her eyes

he is immortalized he rules forevermore

reigns for infinite generations with her..thru her
