The Rising Tide
The light is forever fleeting
With the ocean coming beneath
I'm sitting among the ashes
Lonesome day that was not mine
Without an open door
I see a stranger walking in
I'm ashamed cause I know it's me
How can I get there and back again
Even the strong have their breaking point
Even my voice is lost and strained
My heart is bitter and unkind
I can't define with the rising tide
I'm seething patiently
All I ask is to be left alone
But in the back of my mind
I'm scared cause I can't find
Even the strong have their breaking point
Even the sun won't shine on me
My vital sign is without a pulse
I can't define with the rising tide
I won't fall in line
I cannot conceive
I know I lost my place
Even the strong have their breaking point
Even my voice is lost and strained
My heart is bitter and unkind
I can't define with the rising tide
I can't define with the rising tide
I can't define with the rising tide
I can't define with the rising tide
With the ocean coming beneath
I'm sitting among the ashes
Lonesome day that was not mine
Without an open door
I see a stranger walking in
I'm ashamed cause I know it's me
How can I get there and back again
Even the strong have their breaking point
Even my voice is lost and strained
My heart is bitter and unkind
I can't define with the rising tide
I'm seething patiently
All I ask is to be left alone
But in the back of my mind
I'm scared cause I can't find
Even the strong have their breaking point
Even the sun won't shine on me
My vital sign is without a pulse
I can't define with the rising tide
I won't fall in line
I cannot conceive
I know I lost my place
Even the strong have their breaking point
Even my voice is lost and strained
My heart is bitter and unkind
I can't define with the rising tide
I can't define with the rising tide
I can't define with the rising tide
I can't define with the rising tide
